That was nice of him.

Just Do It!

Great move!

This is terrific. Kudos to Lebron and his family.

Still a terrible man because he once agreed to do a TV show for ESPN, which raised another $6 million for charity. #NeverForget.

Truth. Some things just cannot be forgiven.

The headline is misleading and the article is from last year.

From the article, this pledge is from his foundation. What percent of that 87M is from him personally versus sponsors and other donors is unclear. Looking at the 2014 IRS 990, there wasn't much in the bank at the time. 2013 showed 2-1 expense-grant ratio.

Any update?

He'll never be Jordan, Jordan was a much nicer guy and would have taught the kids himself. That's what Nike told me anyways.

LeBron donates his money to kids, Jordan gambled with his extra money and invested in prisons. Just sayin'.

I've always hated the guy. I thought that he was the Peyton Manning of the NBA. Incredible talent but just mentally weak and soft. But after coming back from 3-1 i'm thinking he is right there with MJ. He took a lot of **** for the decision and going to Miami and losing to the Mavs but i think he developed a backbone in the process. Something the giant forehead(from HGH) never accomplished.

this is obviously an enormous amount of cake$. i must say i am slowly gaining respect for LeBron

Nobody is on the level with MJ in the NBA much like there will never be another Tom Brady in the NFL. That said, this is a wonderful gesture by LeBron.

Wait, "The Decision" helped raise 6m dollars for charity?

Well they say that he is worth $500M from what I saw on a news website.
