Some impressive articulation from NE player. My feeling about this guy just gets better and better.

I especially liked his capability of seeing the bigger picture like here f.e.

Bennett talked about finally joining a team with a history of winning, pointing out that teams that lose are naturally going to devolve to individuals trying to win, while players on teams with a winning culture are more able to set aside personal goals for the greater good.

Enjoy

TE Martellus Bennett discusses Patriots culture, playing with Rob Gronkowski, contagious Tom Brady, and Bill Belichick’s humor

´´I really don’t mind being Robin, you know?``

Yes, thats the spirit.

Really liking Bennett. Hoping they can figure out a way to keep him here if he plays well here.

Another great article by Rich Hill.

Can a bigger news outlet offer him a job?

He blows Volin and others out of the water with his work.

He shouldn't either. Because Gronk is going to take the majority of the focus, Bennett's body will take less of a beating and he'll be isolated against LB's and safeties more than he has in the past. If The Triplets (I'm going to trademark this first on PatsFans) Edelman, Amendola, and Hogan are all healthy, I really don't see how you stop the quick passing game. If the team gets out of Washington what I think they will, safeties will no longer be able to cheat toward the line of scrimmage anymore and that should open up even more opportunities underneath.

I like the "talk", but prefer the "walk".. let's see what happens during the season.

The offense runs through Gronk and when healthy JE and Lewis. It is wise for him to acknowledge that.

Can't this be the Justice League. No Robins just a bunch of superheroes.

He will have a big role, but he knows that Gronk always will be the #1. I agree with you he will step up but i dont know this Washington you are talking about (Nate?). I dont think he will be a factor at all. But lets hope that im wrong.

I think I say his every season but I can't wait for this season to start. This offense is gonna put up a lot of points. And I don't see anybody in the Afc that can challenge them. Hope everyone can stay healthy.

I really have to agree. This article has everything you'd hope to see from something from the major media outlets. It give you a better insight into a player's mindset, plus facts (stats) that back up points the author is trying to make. It is the kind of of article that makes you feel good, yet doesn't leave you feeling it was over sentimental. And most importantly, after reading this article you should come away a smarter more knowledgeable football fan.

Occasionally we we get articles like this from Mike Reiss, but the rest of the local media is much more interested in "creating the story", than informing their readers and listeners.

Neither of those guys are deep threats. Mitchell is a guy still trying to get the position itself down, let alone the hardest playbook in the NFL to absorb. Martin is just north of a JAG and, at best, a WR4. Further, he's not a natural flanker and would be overpowered by more physical corners there.

All true but Nate Washington is 32 ... He is only in a 1 year similar scheme to the Patriots. He has only 60k in dead money... We have 3 great slot WR + 2 TE that will eat a lot of snaps... So he can make the 53 but i am not that optimistic

yep. agree strongly on both bennett and hill. hill does a helluva job.

If Dion Lewis and Julian Edelman are anywhere near 100%, this receiving corps with Amendola, Gronk, Bennett and Hogan is going to be brutal to defend inside of 25 yards.

I hope FB Develin is recovered from his broken leg. He is excellent at picking up the blitz, which Garoppolo will see constantly as an inexperienced regular season QB. Develin is a smart receiver out of the backfield and understands when to shake free to serve as a safety valve in the flat.

Gronk, Bennett, Develin and Lewis provide lots of support for the offensive line, which at this point looks like the weakest link on the team. Scarnecchia may fix that, but I am very skeptical until we see that unit handle a good defensive team.

The other thing about this group is that it provides a huge cushion for the rookie wideouts to find their way in the offense, especially since they're likely to be irrelevant for the first four games of the regular season.

I keep thinking about 2013 when Tom Brady had Boyce, Thompkins, Dobson, Mulligan, Hoomanawanui, with Gronk and Vereen on IR. Edelman and Amendola emerged, but jeez, what a mess.
