Yedlin going forward is impressive..

Need to get Dempsey more involved.

I actually like Bradley. He has a good feel for the game, but lacks execution.

Bradley? The only passes that don't get intercepted are the ones he sends backwards. He is just not good.

Don't know how you can blame Klinsman after this performance. His players can't keep possession of the ball.

Im gonna get killed for this, but I think the issue might be, and someone please correct me if im wrong, but i heard the front 6 (4MF, 2FW) are all current MLS players..

MLS is a growing league, and its better today than it was yesterday, and tomorrow will be even better, but the US would be better off having these guys playing in the big European leagues.

Your seeing a real expensive game of monkey in the middle right now...

With all that, soccer is a tricky game sometimes. One good bounce could switch momentum right back to the US

I won't kill you for it. There is a fundamental dispute within American soccer wherein Klinsman believes their top young players need to play in the best leagues to become great players, and the MLS, which runs the board at US Soccer and wants to players to stay home and build the MLS. I'm with Klinsman, great players come from great competition, and don't develop to their potential without it. The MLS does not provide it and for at least another generation won't. Support them playing abroad and keep them playing in national games over MLS players who gain favor by staying home.

Ultimately it will cost Klinsman his job, but that doesn't make it right.

Theres no money in soccer best athletes are drawn to football basketball and baseball

There are certainly more choices in the USA but to say there is no money in soccer is not accurate,

wtf Yedlin with his thumb up his ass.

Goalie is a joke.

Its pathetic how this team cant make 3 consecutive passes. ..

Turnover after turnover.. Its like they dont want the ball
Superior ball pressure by Argentina...

You really need to rid yourself of your Brasilian bias and simply marvel at what you're seeing.

3 goals all guzman mistakes... If you are a elite gk and you choose your side you have to save any ball in that way.. High, Low doesnt matter.. The kick was well placed but Guzman was ALREADY there...

Don't feel too bad guys. Messi routinely does this to teams with far more talent than the USMNT.

I can see both sides to the argument. On the one hand players would see top flight competition by playing in Europe. On the other hand the Germans and Italians have been powerhouses picking mostly from their domestic squads. I think we will see the quality truly improve when top international talent start playing for US clubs.

********. No keeper in the world is saving Messi's free kick.

American kids play for 45 minutes and get a juice cup. The Latinos live the game

well, the europeans ain't bad either haha.

Lol i could name at least 20...
I'm sure you can. I could also name you 20 goalkeepers. None of them are stopping a ball curving and dipping away from them in the top corner. He hit that ball as perfectly as a football can be hit.

Listen, I understand as a Brasilian you're brought up to loath Argentinian football but take a break from hating Messi and sit back and enjoy the masterclass.

I don't see a situation developing where the MLS attracts top European and South American talent in their prime in our lifetime. The money and prestige in the European clubs is incredibly dominant, and the MLS has to have a salary cap merely to survive.

But that is at least a generation away. In the meantime let top talent go play top talent.

Dude i dont hate nobody... And i dont take anything from Messi. He is the best player now by far... But this kick in particular (in the top corner) was in the same side as the gk and after he take one side he was supposed to save any kick there.
