Yeah please ban this troll, Ian. Guy just told someone to kill themselves.

Warriors are currently 15-8 in these playoffs. No where near all time greatness.

2008 Celtics were one of the best defensive teams of the last 20 years and they played in the most games in postseason history. Spare me your ********.

Yeah, KG, Truth, Allen all right in their prime (although at the end of it) a great bench, and the best D I've ever seen.. And they got taken to 7 by to bad teams, lol it happens

I'm saying. If the Warriors can win on Sunday, and right now, that's quite an IF, they'll deserve all of those wins it took to get there. **** happens. Atlanta Hawks pushing the Celtics to 7 was crazy as was those 2008 Cavs.

Yup.

Warriors are one win away from back to back titles...

Did they play injured teams in every round when they won it all? Were they down 3-1 against their first healthy team in OKC ? Did they need OKC to choke a 7 point lead with 4 minutes left in game 6 while being down 3-2? Spare me your ******** comparing the Warriors to them. Another stupid comparison.

The Spurs D might have something to say about that. They went through their first 13 finals games without allowing 90 points on that alone. Boston was just a 4-5 year fad.

Except literally no one is claiming that the 07 Celtics were the best team of all time. The only thing that Golden State has going for it is its 73 win regular season. That is the benchmark everyone is using to judge them against the 96 bulls. Since that's the case why should we stop with wins/losses in the regular season? We should include the playoffs as well. If all we are doing is comparing who has the best W/L record the Bulls have them beat already.

You're a ****ing idiot like I thought you were. The Celtics got pushed to 7 by an 8th seed that went 37-45. 37 ****ing wins. They won 29 more games than the 8th seed and still got pushed to 7. They got pushed to 7 by a Cavs team that went 45-37. Meanwhile, Warriors get pushed to 7 by a 55 win team that beat a 67 win team on their way to the WCF and currently in a 7 game series with the #1 seeded Cavs. It must hurt to be that stupid.

As someone who is barely aware the NBA exists but ended up watching a little of this game without caring who won, I didn't really see the one-sided officiating. I saw some bad calls but nothing that screams rigged to me.

What's the backstory with people assuming the NBA rigs games?
Over the years, you get to notice trends in when fouls are called, when fouls aren't called, who they are called on, and who they aren't called on. Without fail, almost every year, these trends repeat themselves. Back when the Lakers were the dominant force, Shaq, Kobe, then Gasol were either allowed to monster players without fear of the foul or a simple whiff in their direction would result in a foul. Every year, it's the same thing in the playoffs, especially the finals. Mind you, you need to have been following the NBA for years to appreciate this.

Keep an eye on what isn't called as much as what is called. Make sure you pay particular attention to what stage the game is in because the calls change markedly when a golden boy goes on a run.

One of the remarkable franchises is the Spurs because those guys are consummate professionals. They are so well coached that they simply play through everything.

The Spurs are basically the NBA's Patriots.

It means everything. You can't use Green being out as an excuse when the Warriors were friggin gifted the championship last season facing nothing but injured teams last season. You can't go halfway on this.
Yes I can. He's a helluva player and when he is out the teams chances of winning go down

He can lower his shoulder and barrel into people like a football player without getting called for anything...

Hey...If LeBron James were in the NFL, which Team would he play for???

The Chargers.

Once again, your trolling knows no bounds. Are you expecting ANYBODY to believe this BS post? ONE Game?

2007 NBA betting scandal - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The 2007 NBA betting scandal was a scandal involving the National Basketball Association (NBA) and accusations that an NBA referee used his knowledge of relationships between referees, coaches, players and owners to bet on professional basketball games. In July 2007, reports of an investigation by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) were made public, which alleged that during the 2005–06 and 2006–07 NBA seasons, referee Tim Donaghy bet on games in which he officiated.1]

On August 15, 2007, Donaghy pleaded guilty to two federal charges related to the investigation, and a year later he was sentenced to 15 months in prison and three years of supervised release. As a result, the general reaction by the media was that the NBA's popularity would be hurt by the news of this scandal.

The story first broke when the New York Post reported that the FBI was investigating allegations that an NBA referee had bet on games.[2] The story was soon picked up by other major news agencies,[1][3][4] as it was revealed that Donaghy was the referee under investigation. The reports claimed that Donaghy had started betting on games in 2005, and had connections to organized crime.[4]

The day after the initial reports, NBA commissioner David Stern said "that no amount of effort, time or personnel is being spared to assist in this investigation, to bring to justice an individual who has betrayed the most sacred trust in professional sports, and to take the necessary steps to protect against this ever happening again."[5] He then held a press conference on July 24 to address questions about the investigation. Although he called the Donaghy matter "an isolated case", he also said it was "the most serious situation and worst situation that I have ever experienced".[6]

Please, in the kindest way possible, GO F YOURSELF with the constant misinformation, disinformation and WRONG information. You've been trolling and lying all year in the Brady threads and now THIS complete bull.Enough.

Maybe the tinfoil was obscuring your vision, but this entire thread is about whether there is a LEAGUE CONSPIRACY to EXTEND SERIES. What on earth does the information you have quoted above--which deals with one INDIVIDUAL REFEREE betting on games he was working to enrich himself--have to do with the topic at hand?

Why don't you go back to the drawing board and find how many games Donaghy says were fixed BY THE LEAGUE to EXTEND SERIES. Like I said in my post, I believe he only provided one example--game 6 of the 2002 WCF. This was an unremarkable accusation, though, because many sane viewers of that game, including me, had already concluded the same thing. I have never seen anything remotely like that in 30 years of watching the league.

By contrast, There is no evidence of any match fixing in these finals. Green was banned because he had been accumulating suspension points throughout the postseason and took yet another shot st someone's balls to put him over the limit. Game 6 was typical playoff home cooking but the total fouls called we're equal and the egregious Curry foul everyone is talking about came when GS was down 12 with 4 minutes left.

I'd say the last 3 fouls on Curry were pretty bad. The first 3, however, were correct calls. I don't understand how someone can complain about not drawing a charge when not even half of your body is in front of the guy with the ball and your feet are moving. He turned into a ***** after that. He needs to man up if the Warriors are going to win Sunday night.

My question - with as many wins as they had during the regular season and with being up 3-1 in the Finals, if the Warriors lose is this the most epic choke job of all time?

Yes, and depending on LeBron's performance, it may change the narrative toward him.

If Lebron wins tomorrow and then goes on to win another 2-3 championships over the last 6ish years of his career than he is 1-2 with Jordan.

Win or lose, this Warrior team won't be remembered as anything special. They didn't dominate at all during the postseason. This was their peak. Their absolute best they have to offer and they have been nothing but vulnerable. The 2001 Lakers made their mark as a historic team. 15-1 and 8-0 on the road. People are still talking about that team 15 years and counting despite them winning 56 regular season games. You know why? Because they dominated the postseason where it gets much tougher and they went unbeaten on the road where that is the toughest to win.

warriors will be remembered as the greatest 3pt shooting team of all time.
