from what i have read it sounds like he wants to go back to a media gig

He was also the guy behind Easley. I like Lombardi, and he and Bill will still talk a lot as long as he's not with another team, but he had his misses too.

****.

Honestly how do we know what he actually did?

Code of silence. I'm sure he was Man in Black'd on the way out. He was a good hire.

So other than the (maybe) wants to be in Media, does anyone know what he is leaving to do? As long as he isnt going to jesters, jills, fish, or donkeys I dont really care too much though. Thanks and see you later.

The 2014 draft was not good and I honestly haven't been wild about any of the Pats drafts since he came aboard. Having said that, it should be noted that, for overall evaluation purposes, only the 2014 draft can be fully evaluated right now.

Pats will be fine.

It's only one word (out), but I did laugh at how the editors at BSPN wrote the headline for this news in comparison to other media outlets. These guys just can't help themselves with any type of news if it involves the Patriots.

BSPN: "Lombardi Out from Patriots' front office"

This led to PFT being unable to resist the bait, and speculating that Lombardi might leak info about deflategate and what it is like to work in the front office for the Patriots - despite Reiss reporting that the split was amicable.

By comparison the headline at WEEI was simply Source: Mike Lombardi parting ways with Patriots and at CSNNE the headline read Report: Michael Lombardi leaving Patriots' staff.

Why the alleged world wide leader cannot report news without having to attempt to sensationalize it is mind boggling.

They're dying slowly and are desperately trying to do something... anything... to get people to talk in hopes of generating clicks, ad revenue, etc.

I'd rate the 2014 draft a B-. We did get stork who is a genuine starter. Earley was pretty good but not sure what happened at the end. Gap is still valuable and Fleming contributed that season.

But we had an A++ free agency. Browner, revis, lafell and not to mention udfa Butler. Plus return of blount
