Another senseless act of violence.. More than 50 dead. more than 50 injured..

Another crisis averted in LA where a suspect was taken into custody with guns, ammunition and possibly explosives.

Mod Edit: if anyone wants to talk about gun control, the sexual preference of those involved, or anything other than respectful condolences - please do so in one of the threads devoted to those subjects in the Political Forum, and not in this thread.

Mass Casualities in Florida Bar

It was Latin night at the club so there were straight people there also. Don't see how that matters. Many will be latinos.

My thoughts and prayers for all victims and their families in this senseless act regardless of race, religion, or orientation.

So sad. Kurt Vonnegut said all that comes to my mind:

Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies -- God damn it, you've got to be kind.

I do apologize for the miss worded statement but for those that got the point know what I was talking about

The rest of the world believes what they believe about homosexuality, it sucks but I mean your timing on bringing it up is kind of weird. Like when a black kid dies and someone just has to point out that a white kid would be treated differently. Maybe we should let the bodies cool before we start pontificating about our hot-button social issues.

Horrible...there are no words...RIP

And for the love of ****in god, take the political ******** to the political forum.

What kind of sick bastard wakes up and decides he is going to end fifty people's lives?

What a freaking coward.

My condolence and RIP

There was another planned attack stopped by the LAPD, a guy with a bunch of explosives or something on his way to a Gay Pride Rally.

As long als we're deleting the idiot's posts, how about deleting about Posts 3-21 talking about the idiot and un-de-rail the thread.

Condolences and sympathies to these newest victims of the wacko salafist terrorism movement. To all thevictims: all colors, religions, and orientations.

This type insider threat is unfortunately, the greatest threat. Supposedly fbi had brought this guy in at least once. I dont know how you stop something if he doesnt do enough to lock him up.

Did this topic really have to get changed into which group of people were killed? It doesn't matter who it was. It was innocent people that were killed.

You'd think that, no matter what side people are on about gays, that we could all come to that agreement that this is as equal of a tragedy as any other tragedy. I guess even this has to become political. Ffs.

only in america we have these crazy mass shooting. it's an epidemic and there is no cure for this. 50 young people died today. it could've been me. it could've been you. what a crazy world we live in.

worst thing about all this is that i'm not even that shocked anymore. when va tech shooting happened, i was glued to tv. it hit me hard. but slowly, i'm just used to with these mass shootings. i hate to admit it but i'm desensitized by these senseless/evil/coward act of hate violence.

wish we lived in a world with no hate. no guns too.
R.I.P orlando victims.

I was in high school when Colombine happened. The teachers freaked out and got suspicious of any kids who were strange. I have read so much about that day that I nearly know the timeline cold.

That this becomes so normalized, that the rampant murdering of innocents is something that we can hardly keep track of now, saddens me greatly.

I love America, I love my country. I cannot abide this. This does not make me proud but rather ashamed. This needs to stop.

can you please delete what you quoted, original garbage was deleted,no need to keep it up

I posted this right after he posted his trash hours ago. I don't understand why its an issue?

Sadly..i know everyone around me just doesn't get surprised when **** like this happens anymore. It's a part of our society...a part of our society where kids growing up now will see this weekly..or monthly ect. And it's so sad.

When i was a kid (and I am only 27) i don't really remember this much **** happening when i was in HS ( i was in 7th grade or 8th?) when 9/11 happened. But since the mid 2000s...all i see. to see now. Not on this scale but it's awful.

I just hope the kids growing up now don't change. Don't stop going places because things happen. Because i know terrorism/wack jobs doesn't even sit in my mind when at a mass event like Pats games..concerts..ect ect. I just hope people still live their lives and don't fall into what THEY want..us to become scare..to stop doing what we do on a normal basis. Stop taking the busses or subways after what happened in GB years and year back with those bombings ect. Stop going to nightclubs after last night...

And more will see this that were on the fence about planning something like this..it may get them going again...it's a cycle that no matter what..can't be broken IMO.

And Trump trying to make this about him right now makes me sick...and...I don't even want to get into that part but it's awful.

RIP to those in Orlando.

My dad died a couple of weeks ago. He lived outside of Orlando. I had been going down there every couple of weeks since he was diagnosed in December. Nice man, lived a long, good life full of empathy and compassion for all living things. I'm glad he didn't have to experience this senseless tragedy.

He was a veteran and never backed down from a fight he thought was right (yeah, he picketed the Iraq War, tough old bastard). But he could never wrap his head around the mind that could/would do something like this. It never made sense. God bless him.

Life is supposed to be precious but it feels like a video game.

Peace out.

Sorry to hear it. Thoughts are with you and your family.

I don't understand these types of incidents.

I'm trying to understand why this post warranted a dislike vote.
