June 8th Notes: "WR Aaron Dobson had a second straight strong day and made another nice grab over CB Malcolm Butler" per Mark Daniels

I'm telling you guys. Watch out for Dobson. With his height and speed, he has the most upside of any patriots WR if he can stay healthy

Though I like many people on this board are obviously skeptical if Dobson sets the world on fire in practice and preseason i keep him. You find a way.

Brissett's put up some nice numbers, would love to know if he's looking as good as the numbers or if WR are bailing him out, holding the ball but getting completions anyway. Reading about his leadership and work ethic I'm holding big hopes for him.

I'd be more excited if this was one or two years ago, but we've been burnt before.

Yeah, totally agree, I won't believe in Dobson until I see it with my own eyes in a regular season game. In meaningful games he becomes, Dropson and Alligator arms.

Stork went to Vero? Hell, I might have seen him a time or two.
Yep. My old HS coach moved over to Vero after I graduated HS and started coaching there. Heard of John Carroll a all? That's where I went. We never played Vero because they were a much larger school, but I know a lot of people that both went there and work there. Small area.

6 catches, but how many passes?

Is that 3 double-clutched catches?
Dobson's had his chance. The team's moving on. That's why they actually paid out a small amount of money for WRs this year, rather than just staying at the very bottom of the bargain basement bin.

Until he's cut from the roster you can't say the team is "moving on".

I'm not going to disagree but I think it's fair to say many on this board saw potential in Edelman so it was not much of a surprise to see him develop into the player he is today. Brown did develop slowly and had fumble problems early but Dobson doesn't feel like either guy to me. He just doesn't seem to be in the right place consistently and the drops have been brutal. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see how a guy can fix problems like that at this point in his career.

This. Besides JE11 playing behind Moss and Welker, he contributed a lot in other place. Like made the most of his playoff time without Wes, was a great punt returner, played DB when called on, and would pick up Brady's dry cleaning and the like.

it almost feels like certain posters are rooting for Dobson to fail. Maybe if Dobson were short slow and ran a good 3 cone, they would root for him

I would assume Jonathan Jones as he had a pick and pass defended today and i don't think Cyrus had either today.

It's encouraging that I need to even ask the question, since the reports on Cyrus Jones have been good as well.

It's not that I would root for him if he was short and slow. It's just that I would root for him if he was white.

I think it's more along the lines of being cautious, since we've seen this before in June, July and August and then nothing or very little after that.

Everyone is missing this golden opportunity to jump on the bandwagon while seating is readily available. Apparently, he is already a star:

It's interesting to see Dobson and a football field in the same shot.

SAw the tweet about Bennett and got nervous....phew

I should have paid more attention when Al Roker predicted this dark cloud.

Speaking of Al Roker, he took great pleasure in mocking Bill Belichick back in the beginning of defamegate. He was pretty smug about it too.

I wasn't sure if the nickname Dropson was because of his dropping passes or dropping to the ground after a catch.
