Why? He was within a mile from Parkland Hospital (where JFK died.) Medical City is at least eight miles.

Those familiar with the area know Harry Hines Blvd is a red light district, starting from where he was shot seven or so miles NW, along I-35E.

So you're saying he was getting a blowjob from a dancer in a private booth? And then the dancer's bf caught her in the act and shot Talib?o_O

So sick of Earthlings writing "early Sunday Morning" when everyone knows it was late Saturday Night.

I'm shocked! Talib? Hookers, strippers, blow, guns, shooting?

unbelievable...I would have never suspected...Joe Kerr strides on stage to accept the Galactic Sarcasm Award for 2016

It happens on Harry Hines Blvd all the time.

The Dallas mayor it was named after must be turning in his grave - everybody probably thinks he was the town's first pimp.

C'mon down for a little hiney on Harry Hines Blvd?

now there's some civic pride, y'all...

Sounds like we let this guy go at the right time

I was probably the most skeptical person on this entire forum in regards to retaining Talib, but he'd still be a good fit for reasonable money. I'd love to know what the difference in guaranteed money was. He ending up getting more than I expected him to get.

Different hospitals are known to have better trauma units and/or doctors than others, which often justifies a longer trip in the ambulance. In "ambulance time" the difference between better care can be nothing more than a matter of 5-10 minutes, so they often help to choose based on the specific injury or complaint.

If it were a life-threatening situation, they'd obviously have taken him to the closest place. In this instance, they must've felt that they had the situation under control and that driving a bit further could help to prove beneficial.

Tremendous ambivalence for me as I want to make some snide comment about how his behavior compromises the "integrity of the NFL" vs. a guy who has tombstones in his eyes, who seems to play close to the "edge"..

Talib has always been intriguing to me as he had than his fair share of issues to deal with.. somehow he has a knack for finding trouble.

I don't get it, I used to go to nightclubs every weekend. I've managed to never, get into an actual fight, get shot, or get arrested. It's really not that difficult.

If Talib were the shooter, the headline would have read "Former Patriot Involved in Shooting at a Club".

Technically they could have run with that headline anyway :D

The reports are that he was driven to the hospital in his own Rolls.

The Broncos have 2 number one corners in him and Harris with their number 3 guy Roby who would be the number 2 on 90% of the teams in the league. It's not even fair

I hope it's not a serious injury.

I never liked the guy when he played for the Pats. I thought he was a thug on the field, but he was "our thug" and so I looked the other way when I probably shouldn't have done so.

I also haven't liked some of the stuff he's said after he left the team.
