Even in the prison system. I bet if you dropped Ahern in another prison in say Turkey or Columbia or even ADX in Colorado where the send the baddest of the Arian Brotherhood, Crips and Le Eme he wouldn't survive a week.
Those places make Souza-Baranowski CC in Shirley look like Six Flags
ADX prisons are essentially safer the normal prisons. They get zero shared time with other inmates. Pretty hard to get jacked up.
That's not Aaron Hernandez. That's Roger Goodell and his thugs heading for the en banc hearing at the US Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit. You can tell by the orange Denver Broncos pants.Wonder if it looked like this:
Many people lose their father and don't become murderersI think losing his father was a big catalyst to the road he went down.

How true - Most of the biggest badasses I know in the martial arts world are super humble guys. These guys only became badasses by getting beat up repeatedly by guys who were better than them.no matter how big of a badass you are, there is always someone out there who is more of a badass than you
I understand that but if I remember correctly losing his father is when he started to get closed off or something. I can't remember the details.
I still can't believe he threw away his career like that. How can you be gifted an opportunity of a lifetime and go down a path like that? It's just sad.I can't believe he's still only 26.
It doesn't matter. Losing your father doesn't turn someone into murdering psychopath with no regard for human life.I understand that but if I remember correctly losing his father is when he started to get closed off or something. I can't remember the details.
Something else like being a scumbag psychopath who kills people for fun. That is correct. His father died, he became completely withdrawn but according to his mom got better.
No one knows for sure if the residual of that tragedy put AH on a path to violence or not. It could have been something else.
Something else like being a scumbag psychopath who kills people for fun.
Nothing happened to cause that, it's who he is
True. My old boss was supposedly some N'th degree black belt in one or two martial arts disciplines and entered some open tournament (way before MMA as far as I know) got his jaw broken and dislocated his knee in one of the rounds but still advanced, drove his motorcycle home and back for the next round and won the next round. You would NEVER and I mean NEVER suspect this guy as being a badass. How true - Most of the biggest badasses I know in the martial arts world are super humble guys. Is it making excuses or attempting to understand what made him choose to follow this path? I don't think anyone has stated he should be forgiven and his crimes overlooked.Something else like being a scumbag psychopath who kills people for fun.

He has extreme reactions to what he perceives as disrespect. This was clear in one or two prison fights that were reported early on. Also, it seems like a major contributing factor to the murder(s) that got him into prison in the first place.
But there is nothing to understand. It's who he is. And yes finding reasons to blame his actions on someone or something else is absolutely making excuses. Is it making excuses or attempting to understand what made him choose to follow this path? He's a brutal monster without any conscience and, in my opinion, is not deserving of one ounce of sympathy. I don't think anyone here was making excuses for him or blaming anyone else. Citing things which may have contributed to his development is not excuse-making. I think you may have misunderstood. But there is nothing to understand. It's who he is.
