Curry is the best player in the game right now, IMHO. He does things I have literally never seen before. Injuries, especially to the knees and ankles, will be something to watch as his career goes on. If healthy, I don't see an offensive record, other than offensive rebounds, that this guy can't break.

If Curry were just coming out of high school or even college, I'd agree with you 100 percent. Instead, Curry (28) is only 3 years younger than LBJ (31), so I can't fathom how he can realistically break most of the offensive records that have been standing after so many other great players. Just my opinion. Like I said, if he were 20, 21, 22, or even 23, I'd agree without a doubt.

I do think that he's likely the best player in the game right now, but that 3 year difference is really aiding him when attempting to choose him over the much more well-rounded LBJ. From a pure shooting standpoint, I don't think anyone's better than Curry right now, but if they're both the same age etc, I'm taking LBJ.

Interesting that so many are heavily interested in the NBA finals but no one's mentioning the awesome NHL finals between the Penguins and Sharks. The postseason has been exciting and the finals matchup is excellent.

Warriors. Too many times have I seen the team that claws its way into the finals beat their well rested opponent. No idea what game they'll get it done in mainly because looking in LeBron's direction constitutes a flagrant foul.

I love hockey, I hate the Penguins. Dirtiest team in the NHL.

GO SAN JOSE

The Patriots in 4.

I hear you, Supa. I just feel like someone who shoots the ball the way he does will make a difference regardless of age. If that jumper keeps being deadly, the man can literally become a spot up shooter later in his career and still average a high point total. He's that good from what I've seen so far. There is nothing "gimmicky" about his game at all. He's legit. LeBron is the man, no doubt, but I don't see a three-year difference in age being all that major in this case. If healthy, I don't see why Curry can't play a long enough career to amass some huge numbers. Now, maybe there was a bit of hyperbole on my part when I said every offensive record, but that's how strongly I feel about him. I have been watching and playing ball for over 25 years now and I can say (again) that I've never seen any player do some of the things Curry has done or is doing.

With all that said, the series should be a good one and I'm hoping for the full seven games. I still think GS is better and I think Curry will have at least two out of this world games in the series because he's a silent assassin. What I mean by that is I know he's heard what LBJ had to say and I'm sure it's quietly in his mind or posted in his locker. He will come out with something to prove. I think both of those guys will have something a little personal to prove, in fact.

I'm rooting for Joe to get his Cup.

One thing is for sure. Cavs lose and LeBron goes 2-5 in NBA finals, that will put him squarely in Peyton territory.

I got GSW.

Peyton Territory means choking in big games.

LeBron had one bad series against Dallas.

Please explain to me how his performances in losses against San Antonio and GSW are in "Peyton Territory".

To this day that was one of the worst trades in Boston sports history.

Par for the course for the Bruins. Trade away franchise players for good players.

Warriors in 6, but only because one game will be ruined by officiating (come on down, Scott Foster). The Warriors shooting is something that cannot be defended when it is on. There is no equalizer. OKC had the best lineup in the league to put against 3 point shots and it failed. Cleveland will send in the little troll to take out Curry or Thompson, or they'll lose.

I guess you missed his choke job against the Spurs the first time around when Ray Allen literally saved his legacy.

LeBron has not had his best moments in the biggest games.

Sure, the box score usually looks good, but when you're the best of the best, an all time great, you shouldn't be getting your averages when your team needs you the most.

So he gets 28 7 and 7 in an elimination game. His team loses (again) that's not good enough. When you're an all time great, you need to do a lot more than meet your averages. Give me 50 points in a loss and I'll say "ok, he did all he could do."

Plus, wasnt it against SA that he refused to go back in the game at the end when they were down something like 6 or 8 points?

Every great player has had a bad game when it mattered the most. Magic, Bird, Jordan....all of them. For example, Magic had a horrible 1984 NBA Finals. Bird was brutal in a couple of elimination games....same for Jordan in a couple games vs the Pistons...It happens.

The difference is you can count the number of bad performances in big games for those guys collectively on one hand and when they do happen, two things follow...1) shock 2) you never see it again.

Over his 13 year career, LeBron has had great games when it mattered but the issue is that if he had a couple of clunkers this series, would people be surprised? Nope.

Menstrual cramps can be very painful.

LeBron has had very very few eye opening playoff performances

People act like hitting his averages is good enough. LOL no, it's not

32, 11, and 10 is choking now.... lol.

That is hysterical.

Utter nonsense. I guess games 6 and 7 of that series were not big games:

Game 6: 11-26 32 pts 10 reb 11 ast 3 steals

Game 7: 12-23 37 pts 12 reb 4 ast 2 steals

Oh, forgot to mention, add to the above shutting down the otherwise unguardable Tony Parker when they really needed it.

Lebron can guard all 5 positions. Steph can guard 0 positions. That is an enormous factor in the MVP analysis that is often overlooked. In fact, it is exactly half of the equation.

If Brady just hits his average performance for the 2010, 2012, 2013, and 2015 Pats elimination games how many more Super Bowl titles do the Patriots have?

I don't know what the hell he was supposed to do in 2013 and 2015.
