LeBron is a *****, lol

Who likes him? Nobody. Watch his body language and how he carries himself and treats his teammates.

Yeah, he's a great passer.. That doesn't make him unselfish

No need. You just gave the answer in your 1st sentence.

I can argue 20 other players who are as "talented", more skilled and more unselfish but we would be here all day debating.

Russ' talent and contribution went far beyond scoring hoops.
Your comment about Russ is on the money. But what i was referring to-was players who were big-time scorers-e.g. Mj,Bird,Dr.J,Durant,Kobe-who played more unselfishly than Lebron. none of those guys did. Russ was different-he wasnt primarily a big-time scorer(although he couldve been if he wanted to)- but nobody who ever pkayed impacted a game as much-and also arguably the most intelligent hops player we've ever seen. So hes in a separate class. I dont get the hate for James. hes never been in trouble off the court. never raped anybody, like Kobe.(i dont care what anyone says, he raped her). Hes a family man who spends his time with his wife and kids. Does a ton of charity. With all the real scumbags in sports, hes what you want your star player to be. Yeah, he couldve handled the "take my talents to south beach" thing better, which he has acknowledged. but he was doing that for the fans in miami, not for himself. dont get the hate. think its mostly jealously. Hes not even close to being one of my favorite players, but i greatly appreciate what he does.

What does?

West is top heavy, last couple of spots in the West weren't that good. Detroit a lot better than Dallas in the playoffs. East has more quality teams but, really only one contender. East is not the horrible conference they were in previous years.

Western Conference schedule v. Eastern Conference schedule = win totals slanting in favor of Eastern Conference team.

Worst team in the NBA - 76ers (Eastern Conference)
Better/Similar records in the West - 9 teams deep

So the drop in the West from #9 to #10 is much more significant than the drop from #9 to #10 in the East, and #11-#16 ended up with similar numbers, but which #10-#16 team in the East had a talent like Davis missing 21 games, because your depth argument (more quality teams) has only a 1 team claim to look at?

I'll respectfully disagree there. I agree that LeBron is unselfish but - excluding Russ, when it comes to being the most unselfish GoAT it is Magic. Earlier in his career he deferred to Norm Nixon for bringing the ballup /running the offense even though he was a vastly superior talent and playmaker. For scoring (and the team, really) he deferred to Kareem as the #1 option b/c he knew Jabbar would ***** and moan that he wasn't getting his touches and that this was his team when Buss wanted to trade him multiple times b/c he was such a jerk to the Laker FO only for West and Magic (while on dates with paid escorts who also told Buss not to trade Kareem) to talk him out of it because the team was better with him and the players looked up to him. He continued to defer until Riley in '87 told him to stop being so freaking unselfish and shoot the ball. So to summarize, Magic was unselfish on every level. Respecful at all levels and knew what it meant to put team harmony #1. From Day 1 everyone knew it was Magic's team but he deferred because it was best for the team if Kareem was at the top.

As great of a passer and as unselfish Larry was, he felt that he "deserved" to shoot more than his teammates (Can't blame him really) but I don't think LeBron thinks that way, which sometimes is a detriment to him. If anything, LeBron needs to me MORE selfish now as he has a decent supporting cast.

I have no issue with LeBron off the court. He could have exploded publicly after Delonte hooked up with his mom but he didn't say a peep. I just hate his prima-donna crap like unfollowing the Cavs on Twitter during a bad time, taking off his game shirt during a game, the South Beach disaster, throwing his teammates under the bus (which Larry did a few times) after the Finals loss to the Mavs.

As a pats fan i'll have a ton of respect for GS if they pull off the historic season as we were unable to do so in the basically same situation, however im rooting for the Cavs i think. I've never fully understood the hatred for Lebron and it's about damn time the city of Cleveland has something to cheer about.

Pats fans say they respect GS or San Antonio because we are familiar with greatness, and yet can't wait to downplay Lebron's greatness at every opportunity lol

On a side note, I would love to see a dream series between the '08 celtics and the '16 warriors. Maybe the two best teams of the last decade plus.
You can like LeBron if you want but it can't be that hard to understand why people don't especially around here.

He is a whiny spoiled star that's been pampered since he was like 14. And there was healthy rivalry between he and the Celts for years.

GS = 04 BoSox
not even close. the sox did something that has never been done before in the history of baseball dating back 100 plus years. gs is the defending champs they were supposed to win. the redsox were a wildcard underdog team. then there's the obvious reasons why they don't compare. the sox were down 3 to 0. the warriors were down 3 to 1. and other teams like the 1981 celtics came back from a 3 to 1 series hole before. and the sox did this against a team that had ripped their hearts out for years. the 04 sox made history. gs didn't. great comeback for sure. but not history making.

Correct but its a similar feeling.

I remember the 81 series. Kevin McHale cleaning the backboard with a mop after some idiot Sixer fans starting throwing beers on the court in Game 6

great memories. the celtics almost did it to the sixers again in 82. down 3 to 1 coming back to force game 7.

That game was my first painful experience as a sports fan.....11 years old. Celts did it the year before and my innocent little heart figured it was a lock....and they got killed. It wasn't even close.

That day a negative, cynical contrarian was born. :p

By "pampered" and "spoiled", do you mean "held to an impossible standard and treated like the worst villain in sports even though he plays an unselfish brand of basketball and lives a clean life off the court"? And by "whiny" do you mean this:

GS did something thats never been done in the history of the nba. Win 73 games. Pretty sure thats history making right there.

Calling himself The Chosen One and the King. Never (according to LeBron having committed a foul in his career.

thats regular season not playoffs. i was referring to come back history in a series. nothing compares to the 04 sox. 04 was pure magic. I'm more impressed with gs coming back down 3 to 1 then i am with them winning 73 games.

He was dubbed the "Chosen One" on an SI cover when he was 17. The "King James" thing also comes from high school days. I'm sure you're pimply-faced high school self would've been nothing but humble if the entire sports world was telling you would be a star in the NBA as a junior in high school and the heir apparent to MJ. I mean, complaining about fouls? Like every other superstar? Duncan is much worse. Anyway, this sort of proves my point. Hate away, but your reasons seem petty. I have to admit I hated him through the Mavs series and was ecstatic that the Heat lost. But, I think since that time he has seemed humbler and more dedicated and an even more solid person.

Sorry, guys who pick and choose their team based on who can get them a ring instead of sucking up and taking responsibility rub me the wrong way. "Not one championship, not two, not three, not four, not five, not six, not seven ....." How'd that work out LeBron.
