Jim Breuer meets John Jastremski in Mexico

Ok, listened to the interview. Brueur said it was November and not January, but he said that Jastremski said he was jobless. But Jastremski wasn't jobless in November. He was suspended in May and reinstated on September 16th of that same year.

I think Brueur probably met Jastremski, but I think he may be embellishing the encounter.

I listened to it twice. I mist be going crazy in my middle age because I heard him say January twice.

EDIT: Just listened to it again. He said this was in January in Mexico. He repeated even twice. He didn't say it was in November.

Also, Breuer highlighted that Jastremski had to get away from the controversy at that time, but we are talking about 9 months later now. AND the Patriots are playing the Redskins. Do you think there's a full storm Deflategate thing going on at that time, so much so that the ballboy had to get away from it all?

I could buy it being McNally, because he was harrassed, but McNally is not young and built..

I am talking about the Toucher and Rich interview. He specifically says he got crap on Twitter because he mistakenly said January when it was November.

who cares? It's Goatboy the nothing nowhere nobody has been trying to resurrect the POS "career" he had for a mayfly's lifespan before sinking into obviously drunken anonymity. I can get Charlie Sheen to say he saw Brady snorting lines off a hooker's butt crack while Gronk and Edelman dropped acid and ran naked on the beach in Cancun. Same goddamned idiotic media bullshyt.

Oh thanks, but I'm not buying it for the reasons already mentioned. Namely that he said the guy claimed he needed to get way because he was being harassed, and that he was out of a job, and that Deflategate mania was going on. I think Deflategate died in the middle of the season.

If Jastremski was fired last year (as Volin implies today - making his trip to Mexico possible last November), and Jastremski said he was frustrated at being muzzled by the Patriots, what hold do the Pats have on him at this time? If he wants to talk - why can't he? Something about this whole story in Mexico just does not add up.

Just remember Breuer was the same guy who said that his friend, Brian Johnson, was unceremoniously fired from AC/DC only to have to take it back and say he was just giving his own feelings and not Johnson's. I listened to Breuer when he was on Sirius. He is a great storyteller, but part of his great storytelling is his love of embellishing the story to make it more interesting.

I think he met Jastremski. I just don't think his version of the events happened as he says they did. I am betting that it was a very uninteresting conversation and Breuer is overblowing Jastremski's issues with the Patriots to make the story more interesting.

So volin is saying that the Pats fired him 2 months after he was reinstated by the league after they publicly pushed for his reinstatement?

What a ****ing moron.

The whole thing makes no sense. If he worked for the Pats, why was he in Mexico in November? Could the Pats being playing one game for public consumption and have another agenda quietly. If so, why would Jastremski not cry foul? If the Pats did fire him (not at all certain), I suspect we will hear from John Jastremski at some point - particularly if he cannot get a job.

Severance contingent on a non-disclosure agreement?

I still don't believe Breuer's story. Again, if you're in Mexico trying to get away from the controversy, do you bring it up with some random guy in the gym? Even if Breuer was recognizable, do you bring it up with a loudmouth comedian and Jets fan? As for the Pats not responding to Volin, I'll bet the organization hates him as much as we do. It's the off season. Why should they respond? The PFT piece irritates me to as they intimate the judges might be influenced by a Jastremski firing. Really? That's more influential than 21 scientists?

I doubt anyone actually asked the Patriots if Jastremeski is still working.

I think what happened was Breuer possibly met Jastremski last year, but doesn't remember for sure when. So he tells something meant to be a silly anecdote on a radio station, and certainly adds in a great deal of embellishment.

So the media does what they always do: they take ridiculously unverified information and run with it, reporting it as 100% factual. Then the public does what they always do: believe stories the media reports of it reinforces what they already believe.

EDIT: I also consider it a very real possibility that this is ALL just completely made up. The nature of his professional is one where people tell stories as if they really happened for comedic effect.

I bet someone asked, but the PR people have been advised not to say a single thing about deflategate because anything that gets said about deflategate has to be vetted by senior management, and a whole roomful of lawyers.

The only influence the story would have on the judges would be that the guy fired never went for the money and told a story hurting the Patriots.
