Patriots have filed an amicus brief in support of Brady/NFLPA.

OK, I get it.

You don't have any evidence that Brady asked him to testify but that he refused.

Mr Kraft didn't cancel his previously arranged trip to Israel, it's true, but you don't give any evidence that this was despite a request from Brady to have him appear at his appeal (which, as I recall, was scheduled at quite short notice). Instead, you point me in the direction of Google. It isn't up to me to document your claims when you can't.

You say that Mr Kraft "refused" to testify by phone. It's true that he didn't and sent an affidavit instead. Whether that's because he refused to or logistically couldn't isn't established. But you have no doubt about the reason -- again without backing it up with any evidence.

You attribute to me the position that I think that Mr Kraft's vacation is more important than Brady's fate. Nice!

And, actually, as I understand it, Mr Kraft's trip to Israel was to host a party of businessmen -- hardly a vacation.

Sorry to have troubled you.
There is tons of evidence that Brady asked him. Feel free to look it up I don't have time to do it for you.
I don't care whether you want to believe me or not it happened.
It was widely reported and on the day of the hearing Kraft landed while it was ongoing. I feel it was important enough to use an airphibe or change his plans if necessary.
You are implying the trip was more important and I disagree.
I'm pretty sure his trip was with former NFL players but in my opinion Brady is more important than whatever the trip was for.

If you wish to not accept my fact when you admittedly do not know and think the way this is supposed to go is that I am obligated to prove that fact to someone who has no fact to disputed it then you really aren't discussing this with an open mind.

i'm at a loss to understand how kraft testifying at brady's appeal would have been helpful to brady. he's not involved in the preparation of footballs or game day operations, so what could he have testified to that would have helped brady?

with hindsight, it's even more obvious that kraft's testimony would have been useless, since i think we all can agree that goodell was determined to rule against brady no matter what happened at the appeal.

so kraft testifying at brady's appeal would have basically just been for PR purposes ("hey, look, i'm supporting my quarterback!"). which seems to be the same reason some people are panning the amicus curiae for.
Brady asked him to. That is all I need to know that it should be important actually vital to Kraft.

These are things that I think Kraft considers mistakes.

1. The speech he made after landing in Arizona harshly criticizing the league and demanding an apology.
2. Trusting the NFL front office and believing the investigation would be a fair one.
3. Not appealing the penalty.
4. Underestimating the vindictiveness of the other owners.

I'm not sure if he regrets not participating in the original court case or the appeal. I suspect things came to a head at the last owners meeting, which ultimately led to filing the brief. I suspect, years from now, we'll know a lot more about what went on behind the scenes.

I'm not sure not appealing and losing would have been a mistake, but in hindsight, it didn't help.

I would consider most of that "embarrassments", since i don't think any of them had a bit to do with the farce report and punishment.

When you give someone dictatorial powers, your mistake was not seeing he was Hitler 15 years before he showed he was.

I was merely posting what I thought Kraft would consider mistakes.

Kraft misjudged more than just Goodell. He misjudged a good number of owners and other high ranking NFL officials. I think he also misjudged the fanbase reaction.

Kraft would certainly have lost the appeal, but not appealing made legal recourse an even longer shot. It also pissed off a lot of fans and sent the wrong message.

Kraft doesn't decide who becomes commissioner. Originally he supported someone else (can't remember who), but chose to back Goodell when it became apparent that his candidate wouldn't be chosen.

The refs certainly had a hand in the first Denver game, so no.

You're wrong.

The Pats had a double digit lead with about 10 minutes to go in the 4th quarter.

The refs didn't cause Harper to muff a punt return, the refs didn't make the Pats throw on three straight downs with a little over two minutes to go and a lead, which wasted no time off the clock whatsoever.

So once again, no, the refs had zero barring on home field or a Super Bowl berth. There's no scapegoat. The Patriots play was the difference.

115 of those days you're counting were before any punishment was announced, and when Kraft was on record saying the NFL owed the Patriots an apology. During 235 of those days, Brady's suspension had been vacated, and it was considered a long shot that Berman would be overturned.

But counting those days makes your point look stronger. That's some real Exponent-style math you're using.

Uhhhhhhh.....so?

Deflategate STARTED 493, now 494, days ago.

What happened in between makes no difference as does any punishment, considering this story could've and should've died on Day 1 when it became news.

So 494 and counting....

Come on guys. We all have the same interests. We love our team. Goodell not only tainted our team and Tom's reputation. He has caused brush fires within our support of the team and it's owner. It is OK to call out Kraft for his non doings. But when he does something like this to lift our spirits then we give kudos. I know it is a little late but better late than never.

The deck was stacked against us from the beginning. Nobody was going to do anything about that. Lets banish the wrong's and cherish the rights. But let's stop the in house hatred. We are friends. They are the enemy. The outside fight is on. Kill the in house stuff

Sorry, I can't help it, but" look it up to make my argument for me" is the funniest ploy on messageboards.

Ah yes, the usual Andy Johnson rhetoric:

"I'm right and you're wrong and if you don't believe me, just look it up yourself!!!"

The evidence that Brady wanted Kraft to testify and Kraft refused is nil.

It was reported widely, even in the day of the hearing.
You can choose to be ignorant or look it up. Neither matters to me. I am no less right because you want to deny the facts.

Im a lawyer here in Brazil Whats an amicus brief? Anyone knows?

They are filings by party's that are not a part of the actual suit but believe they have relevant information for the court to use in deliberating. Some have great relevance and some are crackpot with everything in between.

That's not what I said.
I said it happened it is a fact.
If you want to dispute that fact it's up to you to prove.
It was discussed on this very board the day it happened.
I do not have the time or inclination to educate people about things they didn't pay attention to.

I could not care less whether people want to deny the truth or not. I stayed what happened and people are free to accept or deny it or if they are interested in knowing the truth they could look it up.
Whether they choose to be educated is up to them.
This is not a message board argument, it is a statement of fact that people with an agenda choose to dismiss and play the game of "show me". Sorry it's public info that I have no need to research because I saw it happen. People who weren't paying attention can either stay ignorant or go get the facts.

What a bunch of BS. You've already wasted far more time stating why you refuse to prove something you said than it would have taken to prove it, if it was as widespread knowledge as you claim.

If you're claiming something is a fact and then refuse to back it up, it's going to be assumed that you're making **** up. It's the only rational explanation for why you would expend so much energy stating your refusal to do something that would be far easier to just do.

too many people have become too emotionally invested in bashing kraft........it doesn't matter what happens now, there's no way to stop the bashing because it would require that most of these ninnies were wrong about something.........bunch of baby goodells

So when does Goodell penalize the Patriots another 1st round draft pick for "conduct detrimental" to the league for Kraft's latest stunt?
