Patriots have filed an amicus brief in support of Brady/NFLPA.

The panel majority’s opinion ignored or excused these fatal failings. It
endorsed the outcome of a highly manipulated and fundamentally unfair process
designed and used by the Commissioner to reach and justify a predetermined
outcome in violation of the CBA and this Court’s precedents.

It renders meaningless the vital protections afforded by a bargained-for right to appeal and to
obtain and present pertinent evidence. Its impacts will be felt far beyond the NFL.
This Court should grant a rehearing and restore the fundamental fairness of
arbitration appeals guaranteed by the CBA and this Court’s cases.
Respectfully submitted,

That'll leave a mark.
It should. I was really naive to think our system of Justice was about truth, fairness, and justice (too many Law & Order episodes I guess.) I really thought they'd be able to see through this crap the way Berman had.
But Chin is clearly a justice with his head up his ass. Whether or not you believe the CBA allows Goodell to determine any punishment he sees fit no matter how draconian, it still boils down to the fact that Brady is being punished for a something that's a natural occurrence. It's like sending me to jail because come October the leaves fall off the trees. "No sir, I didn't conspire to steal them, they just fell off." No matter how you slice it, that's wrong, unfair and unjust. (Sorry for the rant.)

Very bad job Roger.........

Goody has F-ed up so many times it might be a mini-series

As the great Sherlock Holmes himself said (Arthur Conan Doyle):
"‘It is a capital mistake to theorize before one has data. Insensibly one begins to twist facts to suit theories, instead of theories to suit facts.’

That is exactly what Goodell and the NFL did, twist the facts to "prove" Tom Brady cheated. And unfortunately, it's been taken at face value.

You're joking right?

Someone needs to let Parker and Chin know how elementary this really is.

People hating on Kraft are as bad as Goodell ...

You keep moving the goal posts just to be right ...

Soon enough your backs and legs will give out from wear and tear on the issue.:cool::cool:

LOL at that flippant forum teen girls hitting the dislike and disagree feature.
Who exactly is WheelGirl?

A couple of thoughts.

The Patriots basically call Goodell a liar -- saying he misrepresented what Brady said about his discussions with Jastremski because he thought the transcript would remain secret.

But, the whole thing is silly....I hope Kraft is saying he will never vote to extend Goodell again, and I hope he has some support in this from other owners he's helped recently -- Mark Davis, Dean Spanos. If the goal is to run off Goodell, they need to do that. Not file some amicus brief.

So when the odds are slim for Brady to get a hearing, patriots throw in a fan appeasing amicus brief instead of standing up when it wouldve mattered?
This whole al davis comparison is media noise.

Excuse me? When would it have mattered?

FOTM showing more stupidity every day

FOTM is nothing more than a bunch of pathetic whining morons

You know you are

Late or not this is a couple of very big middle fingers to the 31 and I it wholeheartedly endorse it. In fact I vote that they get rid of Flying Elvis and replace him with a middle finger on each side of their helmet, as well as a really big one on each side of the flag flying over Gillette.

Been done already.

They are emotionally pubescent on the issue.
Their revulsion is based on assumptions and emotions and nothing more.

As some have said 'better late than never'. I doubt it has any real impact though.

And no this doesn't make me feel like renouncing any of my criticisms toward Bob in the past year. Nor should it. I'm not blaming him for everything but he has made at least a few major mistakes throughout this stupid 'scandal'.

One thing about this amicus brief that is very true is that the outcome of this case will have very far reaching consequences across the nation. All unions and cba's should be terrified; if the NFL wins, it means it is legal for a boss to make **** up about you and get you fired.

That said, I'm still angry at Mr. Kraft. It will take a long time for me to forgive him because he basically took our favorite son and left him alone in the wilds to deal with the wolves. You can all tell me he tried and did what he his best and whatever, but at the end of the day he wussed out and hugged Goodell every chance he got.

When a person is so obviously out to screw you over, you don't go and hug him every chance you get and say he's doing a great job. You ignore him or just say the polite necessities. You don't sit on a sofa with him and give him a reach around. I guess thats why I'm poor - I just don't seem to have the mentality to be lovey dovey with someone I know is trying to ruin me and everything I've worked for.

GIve credit where credit is due.

HAs Kraft f'd up during this process, YES.

But this is a thumb in Goodies eye. Good job by the Patriots however it happened, Olsen or Kraft deciding on his own. Don't really care. He needed to show more support for Brady.

Goodell will be pisssed, this makes me happy.
