Gary Myers of NY Daily News goes after Goodell (again) on Deflategate

Myers comes through again, while we're still waiting for the CHB...
We don't know whether Goodell reads the Glob every day, but we do know he reads the Daily News.

Making Brady sit four games is vindictive, with the league admitting in court it had no direct evidence linking him to deflated footballs as it tries to hide behind the flawed Wells Report....It’s a shame there are no witnesses presented in Supreme Court cases, which prevents Bill “Mona Lisa Vito” Belichick from taking the stand wearing his ratty blue sweatshirt with the sleeves cut off to lecture on the Ideal Gas Law.

It has been a bunch of nonsense and a waste of time from the moment the Colts bellyached during the whipping they took from the Patriots in the 2015 AFC title game. The league spent about $5 million for Wells to come up with nothing better than it was more probable than not that Brady was at least generally aware of the deflation scheme.

Just as we expected. The media is slowly turning against the NFL. The longer they lie and drag this on, the more dirt will come out. They should have licked their wounds and moved on. Their egos will bury them. They messed with the wrong team... again. WE WIN !!!!

it's more like the titanic........the NFL will not realize the error of their way until it's too late

on another note, anyone think the Congress concussion story timing with the Deflategate refiling is anything more than a coincidence? It really strikes the same chord

Deflategate has been treated by the NFL as the football crime of the century when the real crime is what’s happening to its players.

Unfortunately Myers has been beating this drum since last summer. He's been far more outspoken in attacking the absurdity of the League's position than the CHB or the MCI.

Man, it's kinda sad that you know this guy writes for the NY Post and not a local outlet simply because he has a general idea what he's talking about and doesn't hate the Patriots.

Myers is closely tied in with Brady as authored a text book about Brady vs Manning. I think he is an ally for Tom and is rightfully taking a pro-TB12 approach. Good for him.

Nobody wins. They'll ruin a good thing due to their greed and pride and deflategate will be nothing, but a footnote when concussions or something else takes down the ivory tower that they sit in.

I'm glad he's going after Goodell, but am I being too picky because I'm slightly annoyed by the fact that he refers to "the deflation scheme" as though there actually was a scheme...?

I read his book Brady vs. Manning. In describing Deflategate on page 196 Myers writes, "Belichick's history of cheating made the Patriots an easy target." Myers may like Brady, but he's about the only element of the Patriots he can stand. He can write as many articles as he wants such as his most recent, but no one should be fooled into thinking he's a NE sympathizer. He's far from one.

Apparently as per myers he is going interview goodell end of this month with a townhall type setup where audience will be allowed to ask questions . So if anyone want to head out have a few choice words with him..

Yup! I read tons of his columns/articles here NY News and 99% of them having to do with football always revolved around Pats, TB,BB whether it was a column not pertaining to Pats or comparison or takin a shot he can't help himself. It's like he's obsessed with Pats. Guess I would too if I had to deal with jets on a day to day basis.
