Just thinking Edelman and Gronk(well reg hall of fame too) Patriots HoF speeches' should be something. Hopefully not anytime soon tho, Edelman needs to find out how Steve Smith played so well late into his thirties.

Man how is Edelman that old already?

This is the first time I noticed that his SuperBowl TD spike hit the ref in the arm

Happy Birthday JE11!! You've really been a vital part of this team and organization, thank you for your contributions!!

Will they really be speeches though? I'm thinking more along the lines of an oversized rave with a DJ, kegs of beer and burgers.

Awesome video. Watching this I just dont know how some people can say they are going to stop watching the Patriots if Brady is suspended. I love Brady as much as anyone but there are so many other guys on the team who I want to support as well despite Goodell's efforts to knock them down.

That's GRONK's.

Minitron will probably have "Hall Tyme," a video where he interviews himself. (Or maybe he lets Ryan Allen do it. :p )

Watching this video, it's really dawned on me that Edelman has entered the realm of truly special Patriots. I'm glad I grabbed an Edelman t-shirt when I was in the Pro Shop last month, but I kind of feel like it should've been a jersey now.

Let's hope playing past 30 is different for Edelman than it is for most NFL players.

To be fair, like Ninkovich, when he signed his second contract, he was still pretty low mileage. :)

Not to be too much a downer, it is worth noting that Edelman appears to have been in a boot significantly longer than he was with the original injury/surgery. It sounds like he had surgery in mid-April, almost certainly over a month ago. He was originally hurt on 11/15 and back at practice on 12/11. He was at the tree lighting sans boot even before then. Now he was trying to get back for the playoffs then, and they are probably being exceedingly careful this time around with no pressure to get him out of the boot. But I have an uncomfortable feeling they are being a bit evasive with the truth of the matter, and I will believe optimistic stories like the Howe piece last week when I see it.

Except that's exactly what you are trying to be with this post..

I do think the reality of the situation is an open question. But hearing that he had a redo surgery (for unclear reasons) that he clearly hoped to avoid paired with "but he'll be fine for training camp in 3 months" smacks of happy talk. Hope for the best, but prepare for the worst. And the worst is we start a very challenging schedule with no starting WRs familiar with the Pats system being thrown balls by a QB who has never played a meaningful game along with a running game that never showed last year. But hey, we're Super Bowl favorites. The defense needs to be A+ the first 4 weeks.

It is interesting to see the early team in the Brady era and find all these huge personalities on defense and now it is seems almost all the big personalities are on offense.
