Some are like jilted lovers in here ...

I think it's more like jilted fans, isn't it?

Oakland isn't so bad - some very nice neighborhoods and lots of culture. I live in SF and there's a lot of younger people moving over there due to the better cost of living. Personally, I don't care for Vegas, and couldn't think of a worse place to live.

Rename thread: May-June Kraft Bash thread, since that's what it's going to be.

Kraft isn't immune to being criticized and he shouldn't be. He has to know that a decent sized portion of Pats fans don't enjoy him publicly showing support for Fraudell, yet he keeps doing that.

Imagine being a Oakland/LA/Oakland fan?? Must be like early onset dementia.. you never know what the Davis family will do.. and they wonder why they are not supported.

Now on to Las Vegas, where there is no fan base, in the heat.. they will probably give away Raiders tickets as part of some travel package or something.. it will do wonders for the "integrity of the league".. you can play NFL themed slot machines on the mezzanine.. or engage in a bit of "sports book".

This is an assclown move..

I don't see the issue. The team isn't financially successful in Oakland and wants to move to Las Vegas. Owners should almost always support such moves, as long as the projections from the new city make stability and profitability a reasonable possibility.

I don't have the studies, but I would think that Las Vegas would support an NFL team. Obviously, there would be all kinds of attractive packages for fans.

There's no such thing as an NFL franchise that isn't financially successful.

I bet there'd be even more hate in a thread about him opposing such a move.

There will be hate in any thread simply mentioning his name.

I am not so Puritanical that it bothers me that he orally services Roger. But being such an ungrateful ****sy by putting 32 way ahead of 12 will always be unforgivable to me.

And I will whine about it every time his name is brought up.

Agree completely. Oakland has been improving for a long time and their fans deserve better than this blatant money grab. Every franchise in the NFL is printing money and the claim they aren't viable there is garbage. That Kraft supports this just shows he's more interested in the money and blowing Goodell than he is the fans. If Buffalo, Jacksonville, and Green Bay are making money then everyone is.

I'm actually in favor of Bob moving to Vegas. He can wear his sneakers with his suits and bad haircut. He'll fit right in with the older clientele at the casinos.

Cool....he can take the team with him......id still watch

No they don't. They are some of the biggest assholes in the NFL and the Raiders regularly play in front of a stadium with plenty of empty seats.

I really don't care one way or the other if the Raiders move, but I have no sympathy for Raiders fans. F-em.

I don't like any out the 31 but I believe fans who have supported their franchise for decades and decades deserve better than the money grabs these billionaire owners pull.

Some parts are rather nice and always have been. Other parts were crap but are being gentrified due to the amazing cost of housing in the SF Bay area. Other parts are still no go zones. None of this adds up to a city that will support the building of a new stadium. His biggest problem is that he's the son of Al Davis, and there's still a lot of NFL owners who won't want to see him cash in in LV. They'd rather see him suffer in Oakland and save LV for some other team and/or expansion.

The question: Is Mark Davis contentious and contrarian like his Dad? Could be wrong, but don't see that. If so, it's time to bury the hatchet and not take it out on him.

The wounds are pretty deep. His dad's filing an anti-trust suit against the league after moving his team to LA was the nuclear option, and he doubled-down by siding with the USFL when they filed an anti-trust suit against the NFL a few years later. Of course we now see why an owner could be driven to take such options, but we can also see how resented his son still is by the rest of the league.
