Don't see a problem here ... a move to Vegas would be good ... Oakland is a toilet.

the fans are trying their best - season ticket sales are up ... but the city of Oakland sucks for a stadium.

I'm actually in favor of Bob moving to Vegas. He can wear his sneakers with his suits and bad haircut. He'll fit right in with the older clientele at the casinos.
I'm sure the casinos would let Little Bobby bring his booster chair on to the floor. Hell, they'd probably reserve Bob's favorite number on the roulette table…."32".
And late night, Bob could partake in his favorite past time…….show girls/nieces

Crazy city. Not sure if the home team or the visiting team if any would have the disadvantage due to the nightlife in that city.

I don't see the issue. The team isn't financially successful in Oakland and wants to move to Las Vegas. Owners should almost always support such moves, as long as the projections from the new city make stability and profitability a reasonable possibility.

I don't have the studies, but I would think that Las Vegas would support an NFL team. Obviously, there would be all kinds of attractive packages for fans.

Oakland is a cesspool - both the stadium and the city. If I had a team, I'd rather play in anywhere than in Oakland. If I was Davis, I wouldn't even bother negotiating with Oakland, I would do everything I could to get the hell out of there. I don't blame him 1 bit for trying to go to Vegas.

I'd be concerned it'd be like Atlanta where nobody actually grows up there and theres not many fans of the hometown team.

Some parts are rather nice and always have been. Other parts were crap but are being gentrified due to the amazing cost of housing in the SF Bay area. Other parts are still no go zones. None of this adds up to a city that will support the building of a new stadium.

His biggest problem is that he's the son of Al Davis, and there's still a lot of NFL owners who won't want to see him cash in in LV. They'd rather see him suffer in Oakland and save LV for some other team and/or expansion.

Of course he does, He wants his share of the $550,000,000 relocation fee.

550 mil? That much?

I wonder how many mil the Colts paid when they snuck onto the Mayflower vans in the middle of the night.

I bet there'd be even more hate in a thread about him opposing such a move.

If the league won't let him move, then he'll need to follow his father's footsteps and sue the league.
