Patriots have "preliminary" interest in Arian Foster

i agree on reiss, but he doesn't know everything that goes on within Gillette stadium.
True, BUT-he wouldnt have posted his article today unless he had already CONFIRMED with a high-ranking Pats official that they had not spoken to foster. I know that much about Reiss. The "preliminary" interest story by jason cole is bogus.

Yes, but look at his workload. He has twice as many touches as Blount, so yeah, he's "older" than Blount.
Higher mileage, same model year. Injury the concern. No sign of slowing down with 1246/4.8 ypc in 2014. More carries for a reason. Much better back.

All reiss said is that foster's visit to boston hasn't included a visit to the patriots so far. He could meet with them next week, rightt?

Just a quick note that there will be no further oxidation of metal on this board. Carry on.

One of my hobbies is collecting and restoring vintage motorcycles, and I have a bone to pick about any "special" or fancy rust-remover. The best rust remover is regular household white vinegar which I buy by the gallon for a whopping $2.99/gal and the best part is that when you're done with it, you can just dump it out back. I dunk or douse everything in it for a few days.

I know this isn't directed at me but I used the word "skeptical" so perhaps indirectly? Anyhoo, don't get me wrong. If the Pats add Foster I'd be more than OK. It is never a bad thing when you can bring in a proven vet with as much production (when healthy) as Foster has brought to the league. My skepticism strictly falls within the many wonders of social media. When one national media guy and one local guy (at least one a reputable known source for the Pats) both pretty much shut it down, I think there's some truth in that. Not that it isn't fun to catch Foster in Fenway Park or in Logan buying a Cinnabon. All in all, I think some patience is in order here before folks get hyped only to be let go fast and hard.

No no, not directed at you Mr Dawg. I understand your skepticism. More generally directed, at nobody in particular, but there seems to be a lot more Meh than there should be when it comes to his play. His health is another matter and is all that matters because Arian Foster is awesome at football

He also said no one from Patriots has spoken to him. Reiss wouldn't say that unless he was told pointblank from someone credible from the Pats. But yes, I did say in my earlier post that if foster passed his physical - Reiss said there's no reason the Pats wouldn't express interest in him- tho he made it clear the Pats didn't say that. Achilles can be serious- but if he's cleared medically I'd think they'd bring him in for a looksee. The issue with foster is 100% injury- he didn't show much decline before he was hurt.

I highly doubt Brandon Bolden will be off this roster no matter who NE may add at RB. And rightfully so.
I don't know about that. ST value is great but when you are so subpar at your core role that when the starter is hurt a nearly dead Sjax has to be brought in for the playoff push that tells me RB depth needs to improve.

Respect. And again I say Bolden will be on this team, barring some kind of catastrophic injury or drastic drop in play (unlikely). You truly underestimate how much BB values ST's and Bolden is so good at that that is outweighs how bad you think he is at RB. Watch the tape. It's there to see.

Not only has Reiss said it but Tom E. Curran said it yesterday and Ian Rappaport said it two days ago. I mean one beat guy is enough, but three, including a national guy, is a crowd.

Teamwork makes the dream work!

If Bill had simply done the smart thing and used either 91, 96 or 112 on a RB, then there wouldn't be
nearly as much angst about whether signing Arian Foster is a good move. I personally would not offer
him one penny more than a one-year contract for the vet minimum, no guaranteed money, heavily
incentivized, and only after he passed a thorough physical exam.

Wouldn't be surprising if it's his agent trying to spark interest. I'd be down for bringing him in for minimal guarantee dough though.
Well yeah, I'm betting several teams have made him that kind of offer but he wants something more substantial

ST is the core role for players like Bolden. He is as much emergency depth for RBs as Slater is for WRs. And there is nothing wrong with that.
