The league is all c*cked up right now and has turned into sports entertainment. I'll find something else to do with my time.

Kraft deserves a lot of the blame for this disaster for not having his sh*t together politically. IMO. It should have been evident back in 2007 that Goodell was hostile toward the Patriots. Only a self-destructive idiot enables and supports someone trying to hurt them.

you'll watch

This is me. If TB is not on the field, I am not watching. I hope others join me. Opening night is Sunday Night Football on NBC. Let's give them a big black smudge in the northeast corner of the country. It will be painful but we can watch the highlights on Patriots.com later. F the NFL. They are not making advertising dollars off of me if Tom Brady isn't out there.

I'm a fan of the New England Patriots, not just Tom Brady. If NE fans lose interest in something that they thoroughly enjoy because a group of arrogant and corrupt phucks tried to ruin it for them then they won.

Don't let them win. Support our Pats on our way to the ultimate F U to the league: celebrating our 5th Lombardi in 16 years.

Yes, I said our. If there was no fanbase there would be no team. Go Pats!

The NFL wins if a top 5 team loses customers?

Fascinating notion...

If you continue to pay their salaries even after they have demonstrated that they can and will phuck you over at any opportunity, and the owner will bend over an let them, they won.

The Pats will win, or not, with or without your "support". The ulimate FU to the league is for them to become irrelevant and bankrupt.

Kraft has made it abundantly clear that there never was and never will be an "our" team. There is only the NFL. Everything else is fodder for whatever money making scheme the majority of the 32 decide sounds good.

Are you always a **** or just sometimes? In your opinion, has the NFL tried to destroy the Patriots with overreaching punishments in the past 16 years, yes or no? Have they applied the same precedent to other teams that have had similar infractions, yes or no?

In my opinion (as well as just about every other Patriots fan), the NFL has absolutely made an effort to try to dismantle the Patriots and has hurt the consumer (us) in the process.

If Pats fans lose interest it isn't a drop in the bucket in terms of hurting the NFL's bottom line. If anything, it probably helps it. More controversy with the Patriots = more headlines = more NFL Revenue. Not to mention if the Pats ceased to exist there would be more people interested in their local teams given their chances of success would increase substantially, mainly in the AFC.

Read the post of yours that I was responding to. Realize that my response was absolutely appropriate to it. Then realize that it's you being a ****.

Then, have a nice day.

No, you called me and others who said they are not watching liars...

Yeah but I was speaking for myself. I'm the one who called you liars.

Maybe some 3rd person posting will help clear this up.

Fnordcircle thinks everyone who says they aren't going to watch is a big old phony.

Sounds great. Glad you were able to succinctly respond to my post, which was absolutely appropriate to your dbag response.

LOL.........so do you think there is any additional meaning when you paraphrase yourself in the millionth different way?

hey everybody!!! watch this clown not watch!!! it's really important and it really displays the intense meaning of morals and backbone

watch him d%#*!@t!!! cuz he ain't watchin'..........a true sight to behold

pffft

I usually agree with your posts but I think you are making a mistake on this one. I don't think abstaining really supports Brady in any way, I think the best FU to the 31 and the a-holes at Park Avenue is to support the team, watch them win the games Brady is out, then the Lombardi, and watch the haters spend another offseason crying.
Oh I am still supporting the team 100%. I hope they kick AZ's asses up and down the desert. It will be a bummer not to watch the game live (except missing out on the 1,000+ references to Brady's suspension as Deuce pointed out) but I will watch the highlights as long as I don't have to watch them on an NFL sponsored channel or site. I want to hit the NFL the only way I know how - by lowering their ratings a bit. If enough people join me, then maybe the money-driven NFL owners will think about replacing their corrupt commissioner. Otherwise I am supporting the way they have punched me in the face and laughed about it. It was a story when the draft got a putrid rating around here a few weeks ago. It will be a bigger one if the Patriots opening game gets a similar putrid rating. I am not kidding myself though - it probably won't.

But more than hurting the NFL I want to make myself feel better. My blood pressure actually goes up when I read about Brady's suspension. The NFL has taken one of my best escapes from the pressures and frustrations of life and turned it into another stress and frustration, made worse because it is based on a sham and lies. I need to distance myself from that. I pay thousands of dollars each year for Pats season tickets. It used to be a no-brainer even though it costs a lot. This year I hesitated, but renewed anyway because I love watching Tom Brady play. If I had known the suspension was going to be back on, I would not have renewed. I don't know what to do with my tickets to the first two games at Gillette if Brady isn't there. What I really want to do is leave my seats empty, but I have already paid for those seats and it pisses me off that Kraft and the NFL already have my money. I will probably sell the tickets. Never done that before.

I see where you are going. Plus, in general is opening weekend when everyone is even more geeked up to watch as much football as possible. I think the rest of the country will be intrigued with the 'wildcard factor'. What will Garrapolo do? Will he be Matt Casell of the Pats or Matt Cassell of the Cowboys?

As for this poll though, c'mon man, of course we will watch. I don't believe those who say otherwise.

Oh no, here come the 'dislike police' that the above comment received, I expect to get more with this comment but..............

seriously, unless you are here trolling as a fan of the other team, people on this messageboard can typically be categorized as passionate Patriots fans (and most of us football in general). You are guaranteed only 16 games 'that count' a year. I'll tell you what, I absolutely HATE IT when something extreme comes up and does not allow me to watch a game. There is no way I would WILLINGLY miss any of the 16 games, nevermind the one that will be the first real Patriots action in about 7 months.

But for those who will choose to NOT watch are just punishing themselves. I know I wouldn't do that to myself. Each game is a treat. Sure, I love seeing Brady play, but I would also be very curiuos to see how Jimmy G. does? I'm not missing that because of a silly, self protest. Again, for those who say otherwise, I just don't believe you.

I know, I'm just some random guy on the internet so the truth is you shouldn't care what I do or don't believe. Perhaps we can at least agree on that.
