So this is actually some sort of test to determine how many people lie on internet polls, right?

Cause the answer, currently, is 20 liars. You are going to be watching the game don't even pretend. I'll be watching and rooting just like Tom Brady will be if he's suspended (he won't be, imo)

people may not want to watch in protest. can you imagine NBC's ratings without the NE area?
This is me. If TB is not on the field, I am not watching. I hope others join me. Opening night is Sunday Night Football on NBC. Let's give them a big black smudge in the northeast corner of the country. It will be painful but we can watch the highlights on Patriots.com later. F the NFL. They are not making advertising dollars off of me if Tom Brady isn't out there.

Speak for yourself.

i love things more than i hate them. not watching would just be spiting yourself

I usually agree with your posts but I think you are making a mistake on this one. I don't think abstaining really supports Brady in any way, I think the best FU to the 31 and the a-holes at Park Avenue is to support the team, watch them win the games Brady is out, then the Lombardi, and watch the haters spend another offseason crying.

I am curious how many people are planning to watch the opening game on Sunday Night on ESPN at Arizona if TB12 isn't playing.

The league is all c*cked up right now and has turned into sports entertainment. I'll find something else to do with my time.

Kraft deserves a lot of the blame for this disaster for not having his sh*t together politically. IMO. It should have been evident back in 2007 that Goodell was hostile toward the Patriots. Only a self-destructive idiot enables and supports someone trying to hurt them.

I'll watch the Patriots games, but no pre or post game coverage, no other games, and no radio or television between games. I'll join the games in progress via my DVR so I can skip all the ads as well.

I'll be doing something else. That something else will probably be a more productive use of my time, will almost certainly be more entertaining than listening to "As you know, Tom Brady's been suspended" a million times in a 3 hour span, and will absolutely be more meaningful to me than watching the Patriots being led by a QB I don't give a damn about in a week one game against a non-conference opponent. I don't consider that to be spiting myself. I consider that to be wise time management.

Another aspect is, if the ratings are low, you know the haters' response will be "See? The Pats fans are all bandwagon fans who only started watching in 2001!"

In my case, being in central Texas my watching or not watching won't register anything meaningful.

First real Pats game in 7 months, its hard not to watch even if you say "no" now.

Love to say no. I didn't watch the draft, and explained to my wife why I wasn't watching this year.
She just shook her head at me.
But the story of avenging the wrongs done to the Pats, having Jimmy Garoppolo march down the field in Arizona and into Goodell's bunker of evil - compelling. Belichick finding a way to inspire the team to crush their opponents while unjustly penalized. Good vs. evil, right vs. wrong. Hard to ignore.

I could get on board with a boycott of anything advertised. Won't drink that beer, will give up that soft drink, will get out of my Geico or Progressive contract, will switch phone carriers.
But would be real tough to turn off the game.

so no BB post game?
