2nd year in a row - the guy is a real Patriot. Glad to know he'll be back. Receivers savvy with this system are as common as hen's teeth.

Not sure why people were so ready to dump him, he was awesome last year when Edelman was out. And a big time clutch player in the fourth quarter.

The best part about this is it just adds to the list of guys, and the mentality where players are here to win, and the realization that doing so requires a team of players who aren't trying to make every last penny and run the team dry. Brady. Gronk. Edelman, Danny, and a few others. All making less then they could elsewhere. I hope this sets a precedent in the locker room for players like Hightower, Butler, and Collins. Also Soldner when its time to resign or restructure.

I agree that it is time for extensions, but not only for "prime" 2017 fee agents. There is a very long list of potential extensions.

I think if any extension is coming it's gonna be Hightower or Sheard just for the fact that it would lower their cap number for this year. Which would allow them to the extend Collins whose number would go up for this year if he was extended.
