"The suit seeked no monetary compensation."?

Really, this is what it's come to?

Oh, and Kraft should sell the team.

ya.....there needs to be a point other than to make noise or waste taxpayer dollars

It's harder to be an apologist for him if that's correct.

The Kraft Rump Swabs here are persistent

Dumb lawsuit but this is just going to be perceived as him standing up for the NFL. Dumb as ****.

Absolutely dumb lawsuit. WTF did Bobby feel the unrestrained urge to jump in?
"Please, Sir! May I have another?"

I'm thinking more Vidkun Quisling.

The Vichy government is alive & well in Foxboro.

As the person who started the infamous sh*t thread about Bob Kraft a couple of months ago, I wasn't even willing to call him a traitor or a sellout back then. I was merely disappointed in him and struggling to forgive him for a self-admitted mistake.

Silly me. Bob Kraft is a flaming pile of dog poop. There was absolutely no reason to get involved in this suit - he wasn't even needed - and this is a man who is supposedly pitying himself about an unfair reputation for not fighting for his fans.

I've gone from "Bob Kraft is an overall good owner who made one of the greatest gaffes/back stabs I've ever seen" to "Bob Kraft must have fooled us for many years into thinking he wasn't a money-grubbing elitist."

The nice guy Bob Kraft I met several times in past decades seemed nothing like this.
I wonder if the shock from the loss of his lovely wife combined with age isn't causing his judgement to deteriorate severely?
Time for Jonathan to take the reigns?

There's been an update to the WEEI article:

"[UPDATE 1:40 p.m.: After getting further clarification on the matter, Robert Kraft was never quoted. The above quote was in the lawsuit where Kraft is listed, but is not a quote from him. Any assumption that the Patriots and Kraft are on the NFL’s side with losing draft picks is not true.]"

Hold your horses, ladies and gents...

Is it me or did s*** start going downhill with Mr. Kraft after Myra passed away?

It did. To me he became a playboy type. Always drunk, 20 something chick which just visually looks odd. If he was doing so and nothing else was changing then he can do what he wants to do. It isn't that way.

Let it be clear. ANYTIME an owner goes against his fans in court, no matter what the reason (outside of actual harm to the fanchise) is is time to reevaluate. A PatsFans conglomerate takeover?

I say do it.

That makes better sense. Even if BK is ready to be a full on, 100%, "we have sinned!" RG suck up, coming out at this point to take the side against a few Patriot fans in a lawsuit that has about a .000001% chance of succeeding would be indicative of only one thing and one thing only, insanity. Seriously, short of some sort of twisted backroom deal with the NFL it would be madness to take a public position like this. Even if BK was now siding fully, 100%, 'anything you say Rog' there still would be absolutely no upside whatsoever to publicly joining the NFL's side in a lawsuit that is DOA to begin with.

Well at least Bob wasn't calling for Brady to just accept the Defamegate punishment and move on....

So he has THAT going for him....

Which is nice....

It is possible to be both a good owner and a money grubbing elitist.

Well, I'm glad you have a sense of humor. I was concerned.

Fixed it.

Wallach has posted an update on Twitter as well:

Basically he was named as a defendant in the Patriots fans' case against the NFL, and his lawyers are simply trying to get him dismissed as a defendant. It's a silly lawsuit anyway.
