Raiders scouted Grugier-Hill
Raiders reportedly visit safety prospect Kamu Grugier-Hill
One prospect who is flying under the radar and could be a a good developmental player is Eastern Illinois product Kamu Grugier-Hill. According to NFL Draft Bible's Christian Shanafelt, the Riaders have shown interest in Grugier-Hill and visited with him during the pre-draft process.
Playing outside linebacker in college, Grugier-Hill earned first team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors last season for a second straight year by recording 62 tackles, including 14.5 for loss, 5.5 sacks and an interception. The problem is that Grugier-Hill stands 6-foot-2, 208 pounds and is far too undersized to play outside linebacker at the next level.
...He is, however, a great size to play safety, and he did his best to prove at his pro day that he's capable of doing so in the NFL. Along with posting a 38.5-inch vertical jump, Grugier-Hill went 4.40 and 4.44 seconds in the 40-yard dash, which is more than adequate speed to play safety.
