2016 Draft Day 3: Rounds 4-7 Thread

I don't have all of the exact stats on this, but it seems to me most team's practice squads are made up of their low (5, 6, 7) round picks.

The last two years, the Patriots haven't done that. They prefer to sign other players. So taking players in the fifth, six and seventh likely would be gone by this time next year. The fourth rounder is more likely to stick.

No 2014 or 2015 draft picks were on Patriots season ending practice squad if I recall correctly.

Is Jalen Mills still on the board?

He and Kyle Murphy would be great.

Basically goodell never talked to them about Brady just league news and they feel he misrepresented their conversation during the victory tour as burying the hatchet about Brady. AND THEYRE REALLLL MAD!
Euphemism: A mild or indirect word or expression substituted for one considered to be too harsh or blunt when referring to something unpleasant or embarrassing.

So I just realized, between Malcolm Mitchell and Martellus Bennett, the Pats now have TWO children's book authors. That's gotta be some kind of rule violation... Someone call Harbaugh ASAP!

New England Patriots: A team who writes Children's Books
New York Jets: A team that reads Children's Books :D

S Tevin Carter, move-TE Devon Cajuste and Interior OL Dan Voltz and Mitch Smothers are still on the board. It's too early for DT Connor Wujciak.

I hope I don't jinx them.

After day 2, Caserio admitted that the Pats had more day 3 picks than they would like because of how full the roster is. Turning two 6ths and a 7th into a 4th next year an a 7th accomplishes that quite nicely.

But they didn't do that. They turned them into the 8th pick of the fifth round, first. Of course they had more picks than they wanted, but they also had a tremendous restriction on the fourth rounder next year, that made it more like a 4th-5th rounder, unless people expect both the Seahawks and pats to fold.

I'm not opposed to it, but spending that much effort to get a pick which is restricted makes little sense unless there's no way to get picks in unrestricted rounds next year.

Damn I thought that rule was to apply only in the 1st. So I hope BB ship that pick before the positions are settled, ship that 4th plus a player for a 3rd next year. Our roster are stacked, there will be some painful cuts.

Which team needs O-lineman, I heard that Cannon dude is a real gem.

That is a gr8 point.

I would love to see BB trade a 4th round pick next year before the final positions are set, just to screw with the league and highlight what a stupid, vindictive clause to the punishment this really was.

Scooby!! I just want to see him compete in camp. Cut him if they need to but man, we had another LB from U of A that turned out to be pretty special.

is scooby that bad?? i thought he was highly rated..

That's a shame, I was wondering about Dadi Nicholas. Went to the Chiefs. As others have said, Stephen Weatherly would be a decent pick coming up.

He was trying to say things in a diplomatic manner, and he kept stopping in order to search for words.
It was not that complicated of a statement to have to search for words
