Maybe Belichick sees something in Brown?
Maybe see something in Gaffney?
Maybe Belichick thinks that Blount has a solid year left.
Maybe Belichick is fine with Lewis/White as the 3rd down back.
And maybe's he's Ok with Bolden as a general backup and STEr.
==============
I'm fine with drafting a RB in the 4th, but Belichick may not see this as a top need and might with until the 6th for competition with our current 6 for the 4 RB roster spots.

Whether we have a FB on the roster is a separate issue.

Unless Bill plans on converting whatever a Jacoby Brissett is into a RB, then he fecked-up a golden
opportunity to add Devonte Booker at 91 or 96, instead of the 2 useless pieces of garbage that were
added.

He has one more chance to get it right at 112, which should have been 106.
It won't surprise me if by then Booker and Jonathan Williams are both already gone.

They aren't terrible. Just need to upgrade the playmaking, plan for the future and have a decent runner/receiver in there as White can't run, Bolden is meh, Gaffney is a ?, Brown is meh and Lewis is coming back from injury and they need to ease him into the role. Blount is fine but need a power guy in case he goes down again.

Didn't they release Gaffney?
He was re-signed two days after being released. The team wanted to tweak the injury clause in his contract.

An OK running game is all a Brady-led offense needs. The biggest NEED is better play health) from the OL.

I'm fine with bringing in RB's to compete. This might be the best use of 6th round compensatory picks, and even of a higher pick.

I wouldn't use a 4th unless Belichick sees some he really likes, which is certainly possible.

You guys do realize Booked, Dixon, hassan ridgeway, Sheldon day, Andrew billings, Alex collins, and many more "binkies" are still available to start the 4th right? Im slightly dissapointed with how the draft went so far too but hey there is still hope to salvage it

james white is a decent third down back. tom kept " just " missing him in the title game...they almost connected on some long passes.

If Blount comes in in good shape he's a decent power back, if not he will be borderline useless. I really like Lewis but I doubt he can stay healthy for full seasons. After that nothing. Brown is awful, White can't run the ball, and Bolden is just a special team player. They need a first down back and I'm hoping they draft him now. The two TE offense will help the run game but they still need more talent.

Well I think thats where the philosophical difference lies. Personally i'd like to see a player back there that can take some of the playmaking heat off of TB12 a little in the hope he takes a few less hits and extends his career by a year or two.

A healthy line is great but in the 15 years under BB, they have never been a great run-blocking OL to the point where you can stick any RB back there vs a 7 man front and count on 4 yards a carry.

How many people are gonna suggest changing Brissett, a pocket passer, to RB? Is it solely because he's black?

Yes but they need a player who can run between the tackles.

White couldn't run through a garage door that was open.

Where is that coming from?

Who said they were bad? We had two major injuries last year.

They're fine. It was never a high need, and outside of Zeke Elliot, this running back class is really weak in between the tackle runners. Some good scatbacks out there, but the likes of Booker and the Arkansas guys aren't particularly inspiring.
