Look for trades today. Caserio seemed to signal that at his press conference. I doubt they make 8 picks today.

At least I won't have to stay up until 3 am to see the Pats pick today. :)

Feel like we could still be looking at OT, RB also seems like the obvious choice. Might be a WR in there as well, and that could have interesting implications for Amendola. I also think another DT isn't out of the question. And let's not forget LB.

All in all, I have no real clue.

Prospects we've had contact with that are still available today. So you've got some names to keep an eye out for.

Have to figure we're taking an RB today.

I imagine one of those 6th round picks will be used to draft Keenan Reynolds.

Manx - out of that list, who are your "oh really" / wtf types that you were surprised the Pats showed interest .

Marshall strong safety DJ Hunter has had some serious issues in his time. Assaulted a former girlfriend in '09, and missed out on a scholarship to Tennessee when he shot someone in the face with a BB gun. So he's obviously a long shot to be picked, although by all reports, he's turned his life around significantly.

But, I just want to draw your attention to the fact that he has one of the 10 fastest 10 yard splits on record apparently at 1.45 seconds. That's at 205lbs. For comparison's sake, Tavon Austin ran a 1.45 split at 174lbs. That he's from Marshall makes him a little more interesting. BB seems to like athletic guys from Marshall.

Definitely Alex McCalister of Florida. Very undersized pass rusher at 235 and had character concerns. We spoke to a number of undersized Edge guys at the combine. I was surprised at the late interest in late round TEs too mainly because I didn't think there was much of a need. Tennessee WR Marquez North was another. Wasn't productive at Tennessee at all but, he has some nice size and athletic traits.

Any of the WR on that list fit into the tall, fast, decent route running and hands category?

Devien Lucien might have the best hands in the draft. He's 6 feet and half an inch and ran a 4.49. Chris Moore of Cincinnati is 6'1", only ran a 4.53 but has good hands, cones from a pro style offense and Caserio went to the Cincy pro day to work out the WRs. Moore also had a very good 3-cone.

Where is Lucien projected round wise?

6-7, but that's not solid. He only really got any attention very late in the process. He could go earlier. He's good, but he's not very explosive. His hands are outstanding though. One guy I really like is move TE Stephen Anderson of Cal. He's only 230lbs, doesn't really block, but he gets open so quickly for a guy of his size. I'd love to see them bring him in to compete in camp, probably with AJ Derby. 5th-6th for him.

Manx have you seen or heard any connections between Pats and "Hollywood" Higgins? My WR blinky ;)

I like him too, but no I'm afraid. Doesn't mean anything though, I never heard about Dante working out Thuney.

Need a goddamn RB.

Trade a couple of the 93 6th rounders to get Booker

Is there an ILB in that group you listed that fits the Pats mold? 6'0 - 6'2 240-250 lbs with good lateral movement and play recognition and solid tackler?

Not really. There are some OK linebackers available that aren't on that list, but there's not much too excite. Travis Feeney of Washington is super explosive but undersized, Eric Striker is super productive but undersized and unathletic. Linebackers don't excite me this year. Joshua Perry of Ohio State and Kentrell Brothers of Missouri are probably the two best available.

One that does interest me though is BC's Steven Daniels. He's a run stopper only like Spikes, but he's a seriously, seriously good run stuffer. Blows up offensive linemen in the run game. I'd be very happy with him as a late rounder or UDFA.

Coming back from a knee injury and scored an 8 on his wonderlic, 15 on the retest
Not sure how big a factor the wonderlic is for RBs.

What sort of knee injury? ACL?
