Draft Day 2: Official Rounds 2-3 Thread

Palm Beach Pats fan, from Palm Beach Gardens FL, knows local hero Jacoby Brissett from Palm Beach Gardens and Dwyer high school quite well.

Super athlete, runs great but looks to pass first, resourceful, makes something out of nothing, good arm, but not quite the accuracy I would have thought we'd have wanted.

Pretty smart kid from what I heard. Bill Parcells lives a few miles away in Jupiter and has mentored him. I like the guy, but a 3rd seems high!

Really hope that Brissett pick isn't Kevin O'Connell 2.0

Exactly one entrant in the PatsFans draft contest correctly predicted Vincent Valentine: my teenage daughter, who picks solely based on the players' names. I guess we should look for Zeek Bigger and Scooby Wright III in later rounds.

Scooby is my binky from U of A. He's a great 4-5th rounder. He's a flat out baller.

Hey guys, because I like helping out the community here's a handy-dandy template you can use every draft. Just copy and paste the relevant line.
-----------------------------------

1st pick: Could have had him 30 picks later.
2nd pick: Who? WTF is Belichick doing?
3rd pick: Quarterback? What the ****, Belichick, I'm through with this draft.
4th pick: I can't believe we traded this pick with my binkie on the board.
5th pick: Oh look, another Rutgers player.
6th pick: Ok pick, I guess, but we don't need another player at that position.
7th pick: Lol, whatever.
How dare you imply that Joe Blow from Patsfans.com cannot do a better draft than that slacker Bill Belicheat!!!!

Here's why we did not see a pick ...:cool::cool::cool::cool:

That Brissett pick. Awful.

STRENGTHS: Strong upper body to jolt blockers off the ball. Does move well laterally for a 320+ pounder.

WEAKNESSES: Tends to fatigue and wear down, allowing blockers to keep him occupied if his initial move doesn't work. Not the most rangy interior player. Needs to be fresh to play at his peak and be the most effective.

Really???!!

Brissett is actually a decent QB project...which could have been had tomorrow easily if they liked him.

Some years I have an idea of what the Pats are doing ...this year ..not so much.

I loved the Cyrus Jones pick then the whole thing went off the rails. Another guard? A mid to late round projected QB? A nose tackle (I take it we have officially switched schemes again)?

Here's Valentine, happy he was drafted:

Bill doing his WTF picks in the 3rd instead of the second round is a plus.
