still think we need a better left tackle, I know we won a superbowl with Solder, But ive never liked him as a pass protector. now hes coming off an injury. Id like to see us take clark from TTU

Check me on this...we all agreed that the Patriots needed a CB, right? And Jones was a clear fit coming from Saban's defense, and a popular prediction on our own board's draft contest. And he's a smidgen bigger than Malcolm Butler.

Why is this safe, mainstream pick that fills a major need and projects to early impact being dismissed as "ridiculous"?

i think people are disappointed that it was in the 2nd round and not the 3rd. I agree we should wait until the end of 3rd round before jumping down Bill's throat.

"It's because these shizz stain whiny baby chicken littles can't help but find something to complain about. It's bad, it's all bad!!! The sky is falling!!! Ga ga goo!!!"

I'm as confused as you

Oakman at #78

Andrew Billings, NT

Billings was already a big name around Waco before he even agreed to play for the Bears, dominating on the high school football field (266 pancake blocks in his junior and senior years) and setting a state record in power-lifting with 2,010 total pounds at the state meet (805 squat, 705 dead lift, 500 on bench). Despite the high expectations, he somehow lived up to his billing. After contributing as a true freshman (two starts, 29 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss), Billings came into his own in 2014, receiving consensus first-team All-Big 12 notice with 37 tackles, 11.5 for loss. The league named him co-Defensive Player of the Year in 2015, leading Baylor with 15 tackles for loss and tying for the team lead with 5.5 sacks as he heard his name mentioned on several All-American squads. The fact he led the Bears in tackles for loss and sacks shows the athleticism and aggressive nature of his game.

I wonder if Billings and Bullard have unreported injury issues.

Bullard- DT, Clark - OT or one of 2 RBs would be good value at 72.

I don't at all mind RBs in the 3rd.

We have alot or early picks if we dont end up with some good players I will be bummed out

I mean, lookit, a lot of DTs and RBs still on the board. CBs are flying like hotcakes. I like the pick more and more as the draft goes on.

Raps are the GOAT chokers. Love seeing their arrogant ass fans cry. They think their choker team deserves respect while they keep disrespecting a legend like Paul Pierce who roasts them every year.

I cheer for the Raptors by default but I don't watch Basketball. I agree they're chokers. I'm not a fan of basketball but I just hope one day Raptors can make the break thru.

Because BB is arrogantly ignoring all the draft guides which have carved in stone where a player should be picked.

from what I just read about Jones I like him, and the pick. He's scrappy and competitive, with a chip on his shoulder, plus he's versatile as a receiver turned DB and punt returner. He's got good ball skills, and a record that shows the potential to be an explosive punt returners. He'll make the roster as a special teams core player and give CB depth as a beneficial side effect. Good choice!

ok folks, tell me who is left that is really good. we have 3 picks coming up - we have to get some good players here.

ridiculous pick

I won't hit "disagree", but I respectfully differ. I could see this guy really transforming the attitude of the Patriots secondary. Tough, tough dude. Comes up big in big (like National Championship) games. I'm not suggesting he has Rodney skills, but the attitude and leadership is similar. Last year Alabama had all of these 5-star guys in the secondary, and the leader was Cyrus. Who was the defensive MVP of the semi-final Cotton Bowl for the National Championship for intercepting a pass and returning a punt for a touchdown? Ummm, Cyrus. This selection does not surprise me at all, I think the Pats are going to LOVE him.
