Talking about Bush vs Gore. But, that info is useful too.

My apologies, I misread. Bush v. Gore was the Supreme Court's decision that effectively resolved the 2000 presidential election. It involved Equal Protection claims (basically that different standards were being used for in different counties in FL for the recount). Ted Olson, who is one of the most accomplished attorneys that regularly practices before the Supreme Court, argued on behalf of Pres. Bush. Apparently Brady has retained Mr. Olson. Shows that he is not only prepared to seek a rehearing en banc, but would also seek certiorari review by the Supreme Court (which, in my opinion, he'd be unlikely to get, but you never know).

Getting Ted Olsen is huge.

Heaviest of heavy hitters.

Go Tom!

I doubt he hires Olsen unless they feel there is a good chance for furthering the case. Maybe Katzman being king dingaling of the 2A will actually carry some weight. I bet if he says we are heading this en banc they will hear it. And as Chief Justice can he unilaterally stay the suspension pending the en banc testimony?

Ted Olson? Holy cow. I guess we have Brady's answer.

:D

So the supreme court isn't going to put a hold on the suspension if they hear it then right? What is the point of the hearing if that is the case?

Olsen's bio says he's argued 62 times before the Supreme Court and has won more than 75% of them. So 3/4ths. Wow

If Brady wins, I hope he goes on an obnoxious victory lap like Roger. "I'm glad to finally put this whole thing behind us, I know nobody wants to admit to corruption but that's what corporations do so what are you going to do you know? Roger is a great friend of mine, I know him personally, but he has to respect the integrity of the game as does everyone else."

have to say I'm enjoying how much of a moron Roger makes himself look everytime he opens his mouth! love someone actually pointing out to the media just how horrible it looks for Roger to say that bong picture makes the draft exciting. lol

At some time in the not too distant future, it's going to dawn on the genius members of the Billionaire Boys Club that they ought to be scared ****less at the prospect of their $35 million cabana boy being deposed and/or testifying in a court of law.

Hope it's going to be televised because this will be epic.

It'll be Mark Der Fuhrman all over again...

I'd rather have TB call Goody a turd, take the applause, drop the mic and exit stage left.

Wow.....Love it!

"Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall!"

That's not a "real" article. They note at the bottom that it's Green Bay Packers owners they are talking to - that is to say, the general public with essentially non-voting shares. This has as much of an impact as an article saying Hammer of Thor thinks it's time for a new commissioner.
