Goodell on ESPN Radio now

Brady needs to appeal to the entire 2nd circuit, if he loses then to the USSC. That is for the legal part of this. Once the legal part is done, then he should sue Goodell personlly for every dime he ons including his future earnings.

He should say nothing, perhaps state his innocence, but say nothing about Goodell. Just collect all of Goodell's defamatory statements and lies, then bury the mf.

Brady suing Goodell is a pipe dream in my opinion. Just look at what happened to Vilma's suit. Also a suit takes forever. Brady needed to go on the PR offensive a year ago. Goodell has been called a perjurer by a judge. Wells stated Brady's phone was never needed so there was no issue with destroying it and oh the NFL did leak the private things he did hand over. Even Exponent stated they can't be sure anything happened and they were paid to prove it happened. No scientific entities have said any deflation even happened. Kensil, the long term ex Jets gut with a giant chip on his shoulder said to the Patriots your in big Fing trouble even though the Colts balls were also under PSI based on the cold.

Goodell is hated. We all heard the boos last night. Brady needs to go on the PR offensive.

As a side note, if Brady wins he should invite us all to Scarborough for an open party at the Prouts Neck house formerly owned by Goodell.

Brady won't win a lawsuit as it will be thrown out as was Vilma's based on the union contract. Jastremski and McNally have an option though.

Simply do not agree. This is much bigger than Vilma being part of a proven bounty program.

Brady hasn't been proven to have done anything.

Goodell didn't manufacture evidence in Bountygate. They had audiotape and confessions. So, you're wrong.

The punishment was way over the top, yes.

I wish somebody would make Goodell go under oath and describe what exactly he thinks the word "integrity" means. Maybe this is just one big mix up and Goodell doesn't think Brady cheated and just has a horrific misinterpretation of the word "integrity."

Integrity = Article 46 of the CBA = As long as I can do whatever I want ...it's fair.

I'm 100% on your side on this argument, especially since IllegalContact has such a track record on this subject, but c'mon...the typing was fine. This is an internet forum.

Goodell has repeatedly defamed Brady publicly with lies. A defamation suit could take years.

BUT Brady could get Goodell and other under oath, to ask the right questions. The publicity would be through the roof. He needs to do this when the time comes.

The time will come when the concussion issues begin coming down on the league. When it rains, it pours.

IIRC, Vilma's attempt to sue Goodell personally was thrown out, since he was acting in his capacity as NFL commissioner and therefore any defamation suit would have to be against the NFL. Brady's would also be thrown out if he attempted to sue Goodell personally for defamation. But suing the NFL for defamation based on Goodell's statements and actions may have a shot.

They have already done that. It can't be up to others to do anything. This is Brady's fight. Since he took a federal stand, Goodell is now officially saying Brady is a liar, cheater, lacks integrity and committed perjury.

I know what I would do if I was Brady.

There is only one option and if the union is good with it, Brady should hand deliver the 250 million dollar lawsuit onto Sheriff Goebbels's desk personally.

then use that money to play for the league minimum for the remainder of his career.

I still dont understand how the threat of a lawsuit, that according to legal experts Brady would win, is not leverage for a deal. It looks like this battle in court is basically over however, if brady agrees not to sue wouldnt that be worth knocking a few games off the suspension? if all the owners care about is money than why wouldnt the threat of 250 to 300 m be enough of a reason to deal. Granted, I dont want him to accept any sort of suspension but the reality is setting in that he will be sitting out.

The problem is, the only team we really need him for in the first 4 weeks is AZ, id rather him serve the 4 games and sue them.

Hilarious.

There aren't enough words to describe what's wrong with Goodell's claims of independence. I get that he actually believes it, but it's Twilight Zone, Iraqi minister of information level of delusion.

I can understand the ESPN radio guys ignoring this and just moving on to the next question, but someone, somewhere with a public voice should be pointing out that those statements are 100% false.

Can Goodell talk s**t out of both sides of his mouth or what? seen where he said on ESPN radio this morning that of course he would be open to talking to Brady for settlement talks.......didn't he just say a few days ago "the time has come and gone for that, that there will be no settlement talks".
how people can't see how much of a fraud this guy is i will never understand.

It's hilarious that they did their victory lap claiming no Settlement talks were going to take place and now Goodell says he will talk.

F.ck Goodell

The NFL done ****ed up. Finally going up against someone with more money and clout than it has.

I hope this buries the league.

I wonder if Goodell understands that at a deposition, he will not be able to lie with impunity the way he does in his day-to-day work.
