Not really. It's more 50/50 than anything

True. Guess my experience is still jaded going to U of H in the 2007 season and seeing many NYG shirts.

Now if we could just find a way to keep that stadium empty for BrAdys missing home games. Like 0 but all the tickets bought so they have to televise the emptiness.

Not a good idea.....if the Stadium was empty then goodell would order the networks to not show it and at the same time, he could attend the game. Then, he would claim that patriots fans have forgiven him and they cheered for him too. If any player or NFL employee disagreed, he would, for the integrity of the game and Goodell, suspend them for life.

I'm not watching the rest of it. Nor will I be following it through anything related to ESPN or the NFL. Any word on what the national ratings are? And can anyone do some quick math on how that affected them monetarily?
i won't watch a second of it. or click espn or nfl.com or anything draft related i hope everybody else does the same thing. ian keep this going .

channeling my family guy character .. "Excellent"

:D Glad I did my job !

I think it would send a message. Advertisers would lose. Kraft would lose via concessions etc.... and the NFL would lose.

Anyways I'm not watching a game if Brady is suspended.

I F'n love it. F F F F F the MFL. Now, Nobody go to the 1st game!! That would be epic. And the ramifications would be historical. ... I know, not gonna happen:(

Were all the strip clubs closed last night in Providence? WTF guys!!

Otherwise, great news. We DID make a difference.

Thanks for your hard work Ian.

Legs and eggs special from the Foxy Lady!!!!

Hope the rest of the draft is just the same. I usually only cared about the first day anyway. While I still like the 2nd round too, I can just watch a draft tracker on CSNNE and see the actual video announcement on patriots.com later if I want.

good i wont be watching tonight either.

i really miss listening to mel though. i find him to be a funny character. he's the number 1 reason why the draft is so popular.

Looks as though folks stuck together, the Celtics/Red Sox attracting viewers might all be ********.. Celtics sucked last night and Clay Bucholz, what else do you need to know..

@MikeReiss
For ESPN's coverage of Day 1 of the NFL draft, the Boston market did a 1.5 rating, last among 56 metered markets.

@MikeReiss
Additional ratings info from ESPN's coverage of Day 1 of NFL Draft: Providence (3.4) and Hartford (4.5) fell below 4.7 national average.

Draft ratings down from 5.1 to 4.7. Mission Accomplished.
Good job Ian and fellow Pats fans in making a dent in the mighty NFL machine. Let's keep it going for the rest of the weekend!

I did tune in to the Celtics game but had they not been playing I might've just gone to sleep earlier. Definitely wouldn't have been watching the draft

FU Goodell. Wait to you see the ratings for the games that Brady is suspended. There are 2 prime time games that will get killed in the ratings outside of NE.
The goal is to get them killed in the ratings inside NE. I'd say the campaign is working. We just need to keep it going.

Pleased to hear this but I'm curious what this translates to in terms of lost revenue for the league. Enough for anyone to care?

Well done, that's a 7.8% decrease nationally.

We can all boycott watching the opening Pats game - Sunday Night Football on the road in AZ. If we could pull off a huge ratings drop in NE and/or the rest of the country for that game I would feel like we are doing at least something to get back at the NFL. We can all find out the score the next morning. It will be tough not to watch but we need to take a stand. I am encouraged by what happened last night. People clearly didn't watch. Keep it going Pats fans.

We can all also try not to watch the NFL special opening game on Thursday night or any of the preseason games.
