Hope our first pick today is someone for our O line and hopefully a few of our picks are for the O-line

All in on Jaylon Smith and jack? Yeah both of them would probably never play a meaningful down. That'd be the ultimate fu all right. Jacks knee could blow up "at any time".

No..

If there's such a thing called justice they will win the superbowl this coming season and brady will stick his middle fingers at ****dell in the podium and ride off into the sunset. Perfect ending to an amazing career.

Brady's a gentleman and will smile and shake his hand. A long, firm, crushing handshake of increasing intensity, as the little bones in his dainty hands audibly crack and he sinks to his knees screaming.

Was our draft booth/bench empty with or without monkeyswith cymbals? Did BB go to the Celtics game? I feel sad, angry and other mixed feelings for the only game that I ever loved this much. What a ****ing disaster

If Tunsil can pass drug tests in the NFL, the Dolphins got themselves a franchise LT. If not, they used a first round pick on an idiot. I don't care how old that video is, anyone that lets someone record them smoking weed, especially if they're a pro football prospect, is a complete dunce. The Dolphins now have to hope it was just a childish mistake. If it was? Great pick. If not? LOL.

Could the Patriots trade up today?

A lot of pure first rd talent on the board. Bullard? One of the Bama DT's? Myles Jack? Spence?

Jack was my favorite prospect in this draft. If he came within reach of one of our picks in the second, I'd have no qualms trading up for him. We've bombed on a bunch of picks in the second, Jack is a superior talent who could work out.

From what I've read, Tunsil has reformed himself. All the negative stuff that's coming out on him right now is someone reacting in spite. I want to believe he's on the right path. The added grief of accepting money in college is going to be just as big an issue for him to deal with. From his presser, it seems like he's being pretty open, for better or worse. Not many would admit taking money like that.

Could? With the Patriots luck his degenerative knee condition blows up his knee in training camp and he never plays a down. And Jaylon Smith may never play again.

The draft is a gamble. Look back over the past ten drafts and see who we got in the second round. We've had lots of picks, including four (IIRC) in 2009, and few have worked out. It's not a certainty that a player without medical red flags will be a player for us. Jack is a legit stud. I'd risk a whole lot of uncertainty to pick up a guy with that type of talent.

Draft is a gamble, but it needn't be. They just picked stupid with dowling and brace that year. Dowling was a huge reach even without all the injury flags. Brace was a big reach also, unfortunately.

I'd rather take a shot at a solid player like spriggs or bullard orderrick henry even than gamble on another Dowling. "My knee will eventually blow up but it might take a year or two", Jack.

I agree. I wouldn't use any pick on either Jack or Smith especially given what the Pats just went through with Easley. I'd rather them focus on more of a sure thing, health-wise.

We've picked fairly poorly for a while now. Luckily we've hit big on a few players like Collins and Gronk, who was a big concern medically himself. When a superstar talent is available, you have to weigh the risk. I understand your concern, its a bold move, but if he is able to stay healthy, then we got a top ten talent.

The other side of the coin is our guys reaching in to their bag of tricks and picking another guy with a 7th round grade in the 2nd. That's the most realistic result actually. We've taken gambles on a lot of guys (Tavon, Brace, etc.) who have proven nothing. Hindsight begs the question, "Why draft these guys so high?". I doubt you'll see Bill & Co. draft the guy you want. I've only hit on two of my picks in the second round, Gronk and Spikes. The one with the medical red flag is now an all time great.

Slept like a baby through the draft. I hope the regional market share was next to nothing.
Is there anyway to find out the real numbers (not the BS numbers the NFL would release)?

Gotta wonder how many of these people calling for the Pats to pick Smith or Jack would lead the charge of criticizing BB in 5 years if the players wash out.

"Remember when BB wasted two 2nd round picks on Jaylon 'IR' Smith and Myles 'Didn't Do' Jack when we could have drafted player X or player Y"?

Both, of course, who turned out to be exceptional pros....

I'm sure there is through Neilsen or other ratings but I'm not an expert. The interesting part will be this year vs the past regionally.

Some of these guys I feel like they get enjoyment out of BB being wrong.
