Nfl is covering their butt now

Looks like this baby seal found the scumbag and screamed out "GOTCHA!" just before he lays the wood to Kensil's pinhead..

I am thinking more on the Demotion end. Might be the NFL covering their butt. Leaving him as the fall guy in regards to any future concerns about NFL with regards to improper handling and knowledge of Half time balls.

Nobody wants to be shipped over seas in regards to their job. They cannot just fire him or that would be a major red flag. This is a ***** slap
I wouldn't mind it for a couple years. We have offices in Germany, London and Melbourne.

He didn't say "you're in big ****ing trouble?"

Not a coincidence this was announced right after Goodell won in court. Also not a coincidence there has been silence in Foxborough since Goodell won in court.
Kensil's new job is "officially" a dog bone that has been thrown the Kraft's way.
Don't think for a second Kensil wants to be checking field conditions in Mexico City and Beijing. ;)

Comrade Goodell sends foot-soldier Kensil to the Red Army School of Hacking in order to learn Chinese methods of computer infiltration. Good thing BB prefers Post-Its.

I view this as a likely promotion for him. He'll get the big gold star someday when a franchise is moved/expanded to London or wherever.

Unlikely. The NFL's 5 star hotel is the US. The foreign market is the frontier and the Hampton inn (comparatively). It is likely the equivalent of being called in from the top floor corner office overlooking the harbor to be told you've been promoted! pack your stuff up you are being sent to our new office in the jungles of south america where the growth potential is enormous and yours to harness. Is that a promotion considering you were already just a few steps from the top of the pyramid already?
Put another way, this guy's name is mentioned with Goodell's name semi often in the market that butter's the bread and whose media is owned by them. Now name me one foreign market NFL exec who is a known name or face whatsoever in any media corner?

Anything is possible. Maybe he wanted to be in a foreign market. Maybe he wanted an unpolished and unrealized turf to try and make into his own empire. But there is no way a corp exec that is already near the top of the pyramid gets sent to a new unrealized market that has never made anyone a name/vaulted anyone close to the top of the food chain without it being either being a demotion or a request to be 'sent out of the limelight, I want to spend time with the family'.

Again very possible the guy wanted to go to an outpost to collect a paycheck and work something else. Otherwise this likely was Goodell taking a look at the ops and saying a shakeup was needed......and in Goodell's mind if the music stopped this is the guy that he envisioned not having a chair.

I guess it certainly sounds like a demotion of sorts but the league is standing behind the investigation he started and he's probably not taking a pay cut. Getting him out of the country at least part-time to make sure there's grass and locker rooms - real senior level management stuff, you know, for an international series of games the NFL has been putting on for years without him. Sounds almost like a favor for a job well done.

I can imagine the demotion:
"Look Mike, I know you don't like it but you are GOING to go to these foreign countries AT NO EXPENSE TO YOURSELF and find out if radios work there. We just don't know. Of course you'll have fully staffed offices and executive housing in each location, as well as a team of 3-5 people to travel with that you can select yourself. Due to the travel increases and hardship on your family, we're thinking a salary increase of 25% sounds fair."

Position A: Already sitting close to the king's office in a fine office of your own as well as getting your face time in with the king. Sitting in meetings side by side with the king while he talks to the kings of media, internet, government that surround many many billions of dollars.
Position B: After having position A, you sit in a great office on a great perch. You get FAR less face time with the king and now rarely see the kings of the other members of the multi billion dollar pie. You now interface regularly with people who say "football? that small oblong object that gets thrown around a painted grid? Oh how droll", and it generates a pittance of $$$ comparatively.

Again anything is possible he may have wanted this, it may have even been Goodell sending his 'best man' with the task to up revenues A LOT and you'll be a big NFL name and maybe the successor to the king back here. But the standard course of corporate hierarchy says if you are sent far away to the market that makes squat and is far from the inner circle of the big $$$, you are either one of those who don't fall in line with the king's circle, one of those they'll get a going away card signed by everyone in the office that says 'it was real, it was fun but it was real fun. Good luck sport!', or you were simply the scapegoat for the king's screw up.

As much as I would like it to be, I don't really see how this is a demotion, and it seems to me that some people think he is being sent overseas full time, which I do not see any reason to believe is the case. He will spend a couple weeks in London, in Mexico and in China getting things ready - and almost certainly be there for the games themselves - but I have little doubt he is still based in NYC. In fact, I'd bet he still in in the same office he has had all along.

I hope the office is in Siberia.

Dear Roger,

The trip has been a rough one. Sadly I lost my Judy. She just kept getting thinner and thinner. I don't understand why? Same thing last year but not this bad. Anyways thought you should know.

Sincerely

Mike

According to Ordway today, Kensil has been overseas for the last 6 weeks, or so.

This little move stinks to high heaven. No one will ever misplace this guy for some kind of an impactful front office employee.

I still say a big reason why Spygate and Deflategate exist as lies framed to the public and NFL customer, is because Goodell took advantage of a chance to frame, so his punishments wouldn't look so odd.

Belichick couldn't do what Brady is trying to do now because BB is tied to Kraft and the owners, technically.

When BB retires and writes a memoir, I am sure we'll learn about his true feeling regarding the criminal known as Goodell and the corruption on Park Ave.

It all makes sense now: NE is so good, it proves there is no real parity. The N. American market is over-staurated, Thurs night games are terrible, they know have online gambling as an option that the NFL sponsors, and the Jacksonville Jaguars of all teams will have played the most games in London by the time Goodell's new contract is due by 2020.

How can Goodell sell parity, his ONLY selling point to a bunch of investors and soccer fans, if there isn't any.

NE goes to its 6th straight AFC title game, most likely, in 2016. Read it again. 6th straight. That's entering the 1950s Cleveland Browns territory, but there is a salary cap.

So, Belichick's GM genius has essentially bucked the system and made it very difficult to place a team like Jax in London.

Kahn, the owner of Jax, didn't buy the team to invest in a crappy, dead market like that. He bought it to get a better return with bigger money coming out of Europe, as opposed to Jacksonville. That's why they are being showcased there AND they're in the same conference as the Patriots.

Watch Jax this year and beyond. Do not put it past Goodell to instruct the refs to help them out in games in upcoming seasons.

The Pats are being punished unfairly, not only for made up violations, but because Goodel and the owners know a European market, more or less doubles their revenues.

No he's not. Hell, he's not even tied to his fellow coaches. He's the only head coach not in the NFL Coach's Union.

There's nothing he can do as he's not an owner and not a player. Legally speaking, he's not an aggrieved party.

Sure, he is. There is a player's union and there is the owners/GMs./coaches linked in the Constitution and Bylaws as a result. Absolutely.

Goodell knew Belichick was mocking Mangini and nothing else there, but he lied about what it was and ignored the context of the Jets/Pats feud and the BB/Mangini feud on purpose.

Kraft told BB they'd have to eat it to honor the Constiution and Bylaws and that was that.

I still say if Kraft had sued the Herald in 2008 about the Walkthrough tape lie, this crap would not be happening right now. It would have had industry reverberations and it would have forced more responsibility by the media. It would have changed the entire landscape in this day and age, but yet again, Kraft made the wrong decision.

Mortensen wouldn't have done what he did leaking the PSI lies, I can tell you that.

I want him transferred to my office. I have lots of plans for him. :)

Just as long as he is available to return to the U.S. for Brady's defamation trial against the NFL* et al.
