WEEI: Goodell spoke to the Krafts after the ruling

Dinner plans.

The CBA that gives Roger unchecked power? Thank goodness for that.

But Article 46 has always been a part of the CBA. It's just previous commissioners never used it to railroad players because they actually had integrity.

It didn't become "unchecked power" until Monday when the ruling came down from the appellate court.

The NFL has basically turned into a Communist style dictatorship, where the Supreme Leader has unchecked power and everyone needs to fall in line or be subjected to increasingly erratic and draconian punishments doled out by General Secretary Goodell. This explains Krafts pathetic battered wife act.

Goodell lacks the wisdom and restraint to effectively dispose of the power he's been granted and the NFL owners are just starting to recognize the monster they have created.

This will not end well for the NFL. The day will come when the majority of owners will rue #Framegate more than us Pats fans do, as they have much more to lose.

You could equally have said a Fascist style dictatorship, since your description applies to both. Extreme power is unpalatable whichever side of the political spectrum it reaches.

Trump never would have taken this kind of beating as the pats owner. Like him or not his personality is what this team needed during spygate and deflategate.

Who gives a f.ck, bombasity aside he would destroy the franchise. Trump would make Jerry Jones look like a hands off owner and Belichick would last 3 seconds with that kind of owner interference.

Stop blaming Goodell, he has been given orders by the owners and he is executing it according to their wishes. Does anyone thinks he will go on if Mara or that guy in Dallas does not want this?

goodell is weak so yes he can be blamed. he gets pushed around by the other owners too much.

"Aw, Rog ... I knew you had to do it."

And his history tells us the franchise would likely be bankrupt and defunct.

There are very few things that would get me to stop supporting the Patriots, this would be one. If he ever bought this team I would be done with football for good the moment the deal went through. He's a piece of sh.t.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!! The issue is Goodell, his ego and the ownership power brokers pulling the strings.

The guy in Dallas that he ****ed over with an unwritten rule about not using too much of a non existent cap?
Nobody got ****ed over in that situation. Just because I hate Goodell doesn't change that. All they did was take an obscenely front loaded contract and convert the year 1 salary to a signing bonus, just like they said they would.

“To be honest, I really don’t focus on how players view the commissioner,” Kraft said. “All I know is he’s very tough but very fair, and he’s doing a job, and it’s not going to help him win popularity contests. I want him to do things just the way he’s doing them.”

Prolly just asked them to keep an eye on his house up in Maine.

DO you think Rozelle or Tagliabue would have acted so recklessly? I don't think so.....

There are so many more important things in this world for me to even try and care.

tom takes a paycut to play for this gutless bastard and his useless son.
