NFL Owners wants Goodell to reduce 4 game suspension and end Deflategate once and for all.

Screw them! The damage has already been done to Brady and the Pats. I hope Brady wouldn't consider it and goes full speed ahead with the defamation lawsuit the NFL* and Goodell so richly deserve.

The only deal I would consider is a complete exhoneration of the Pats and Brady, the return of the stolen draft picks, penalties to the culpable teams, the Colts in particular, a revisiting of the Rats' tampering penalty in light of the discrepancy between the Rats' slap on the wrist and the loss of draft picks by other teams for the same offense both before and after the Rats' latest offense,

AND AN ADMISSION FROM THE NFL* THAT THE WHOLE DEFLATEGATE ISSUE WAS HANDLED POORLY FROM THE START, AND BECAME A WITCHHUNT!
And Roger to prison.

Love hearing these "Expert" commentators and sports analysts that believe Brady should just accept his punishment and move on. Their friggin reputation and legacy is not on the line, but they think they are justified in giving the advice to just let it go. I would hope that if they were in his situation they would fight for what they thought was right. If Brady truly believes he did nothing wrong, then he should go all the way (Whatever that really is, I'm not sure). Certain people sure seem to have all of the answers when it is not their career on the line.

Yeah, that's nice but no thanks.

If their settlement includes their stupid draft picks and the fine with no suspension, no admission of guilt and no agreement that Brady can't tell the world the NFL is corrupt (meaning that he could do that) then I'm good with a settlement.

Short of that, GFY NFL.

Didn't hear them telling the nfl to drop it and accept it after Berman's ruling. It's also funny how everyone seems to be ignoring that this has gone in front of 4 federal judges and it is split 2-2, why the hell should Brady "just accept it" when 2 judges have ruled in his favor.

this may be a stupid question...how will they know if we skip watching the draft?

Ratings. If New England doesn't watch the draft the ratings will show it compared to previous years

So maybe this gets the Pats their picks back?

I'm wondering if some of the owners are concerned about the theft of draft picks. What happens if Brady sues for Defamation?

What about the horrible precedent that gets set when/if Deflategate gets exposed for the sham it is and the picks are already gone?

Serve all 4 or don't serve any, no compromise, no surrender.

I don't know if the few people on this forum not watching would be a blip on the screen as far as neilson ratings go.

Because their "careers" have been reduced to sitting in front of a desk and talking about these players from afar. If they were in Brady's shoes they'd be doing the same thing. Everyone is a war general from afar but only a few have the balls and the wherewithal to actually fight the battles.

Whenever Brady expressed his disinterest in accepting that ruling, I hope it was similar to that scene from A Few Good Men when Dawson did not accept the deal for 6 months.

If Brady got an offer of a game or a large fine for "inadvertent obstruction of the investigation" and nothing more than that, that might be worth considering. (and the word inadvertent being a critical part of it)

Kessler himself pretty much said Brady "could have handled it better" so I think it makes sense. No admission to something he didn't do, and his legacy is intact.

Anything more than that - they can go pound sand.

Yeah, I'd be fine with Brady getting the exact same punishment that Brett Favre got, and I think Brady would be fine with that too. Anything more and the NFL can **** off.

I know it's a pipe dream, but how awesome (and effective ) would it be if nobody showed up at the first 4 games? What, is there 3 home games? That would absolutely be nail in the coffin for the NFL. The NFL lives on money. And they get their money from us

Brady isn't accepting **** other than complete exoneration. If the owners truly wanted this to end they wouldn't have concocted the scheme to begin with. F*ck them

Also, return of the stolen 2007 first round draft pick, and Goodell should have to get down on his knees and kiss Brady's rings.

I heard the news yesterday on WFAN and Beningo and Roberts were saying they're so sick of this and want it to just be over. And Beningo is one of the rational ones, who said from the very beginning that this entire thing was completely ridiculous.

But what people have to understand is that neither Brady nor the NFLPA - nor the NFL for that matter - should make decisions here based on whether *we* are sick of it. For Brady, this is about his reputation, his integrity, his legacy, and being totally railroaded. For the NFLPA, this is about fair treatment under a despicable commissioner. For the NFL, this is about power. None of those three things have anything to do with whether or not fans or pundits are sick and tired of this issue.

I don't have your confindence about all of NE not watching the draft. We're a pretty insular bunch here. I haven't meet one person on the street that knows this site exists, and i do live in Ma.
