When Brady Retires, are you done?

I might not wait that long. This is WWE-level nonsense. I am interested in sport. If I want theater there are better options.

The game on the field hasn't changed .... So if you limit yourself to that, it should not matter

Man would they hate BB, the irony that he's been made out to be an arrogant prick when he's actually the most classy and respectful coach there has ever been.

Well, that's the problem the rest of the NFL has.....all the other owners are calling all their shots while BB does all the shot calling here......this is where they're playing checkers while the pats are playing chess

100% finished.

I feel like my love/obsession with the game has taken a massive permanent hit. I'm not excited about football in the least bit anymore, not even just the Pats, but in general. How they treated the greatest player of all time, who is squeaky clean and just the type of person they should be endlessly praising, is an absolute travesty.

The way I see it, we had such a great run that we essentially won the sport of football, so at least there's no unfinished business.

I might be done after today. I am really pissed off.

I always dreamed of watching football games with my son but the more Goodell drives it into the ground, the less I want him to watch or care at all. And I don't want a single dime of my money going towards the league. I even got a bit pissy about my wife buying my son some Patriots gear. She meant well, and I shouldn't have been upset, but I couldn't help it.

The legal battles are obviously terrible, but the concussions and the league's shady behaviour there have me thinking they're closer to Big Tobacco than a professional sports league.

So if Brady misses a game because nobody running the league understands high school science, I really don't know why I would bother. So what if Brady wins another championship? It's a league run by ******s. I don't mean mentally-challenged. I mean full ******.

Every day, I think, "they can't be that stupid." And every day, they take it as a personal challenge to prove me wrong.

This is why I get my football jones fixed with Alabama and the SEC games. I've been a fan of the Crimson Tide as long as I've been a Pats fan and those Saturday college games help keep my football interest fed while calming me down about all the jackwagon crapweasel stuff that Goodell has laid on New England.

I've been able to deal with things a lot better since DirecTV got the SEC channel. :)

If you have left the NFL because of the NFL being corrupt, how on earth can you watch college football with how corrupt the NCAA is?

I still don't understand. If you are supporting the team because of one player, you are not a fan of the team. It's like that weirdo Tim Tebow fan who used to come around here. I think you are a real fan of the team, so I'm still confused. Am I missing something?
The Team was a party to the side opposing Brady in court. If you believe that the NFL has denied the Laws of Physics and violated Due Process, that includes the New England Patriots and sub-Commissioner Kraft.

Do you support the NFL or Tom Brady? If all you care about is your own selfish pleasure seeking in watching football, by all means support the NFL. That is your right to do so.

If you believe that Brady has been maligned and persecuted by the NFL and betrayed by the Justice system, how can you shrug it off and support his Torquemada?

From the front of the appeal ruling:
=======
NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE MANAGEMENT COUNCIL,
Plaintiff‐Counter‐Defendant‐Appellant,

and
NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE,
Defendant‐Appellant,

v.

NATIONAL FOOTBALL LEAGUE PLAYERS ASSOCIATION,
on its own behalf and on behalf of Tom Brady, Defendant‐Counter‐Claimant‐Appellee,

and

TOM BRADY,
Counter‐Claimant‐Appellee.*

It hasn't? I don't know if you watched the first 5-6 games last season. Most of them sucked. The rules are making the game almost un-watchable.

With the Goodell gong show, I'm thinking no Brady and i might be done (but who knows). Anyone else feeling this way?
Yes....when Tom and BB are gone....I will not invest any more time or money in this corrupt disgusting corporation known as the NFL...and its gutless biased pathetic little douche bag of a "commissioner/****tator "....

Why is everyone so upset about being called fairweather? Is it really that insulting? Yes, I am now a fair weather fan. It took a lot of ****ty weather for me to get there though.

The weather was miserable in the early 80's. But I went and watched.
The years following XX were bitter. But I went and watched.
Through Zeke Mowatt, Hartford, Kiam, St Louis, aluminum bench frostbite, Eugene Chung, Hart Lee Dykes, Chris f'n Canty..........I went and watched.

All of us diehard fans have seen more than our fair share of crap. I can handle a bad team just like the any of you heroic "real" fans.

The weather in the NFL has reached its bearable limit for me. This is not walking away from a bad team. This is walking away from a bad, corrupt product. I guess I'm a fair weather fan. I've been called worse. At this point, it sounds better than bending over and taking 32 fists up the stink pipe.

Fair weather fan or NFL whore? Lots to do on Sundays.

I only wish Kraft realized 12 is a hell of a lot greater than 31. Had he the stones to see this, I might be inclined to weather this storm too. Now, 31 and 32 are one and the same. Garbage.

I'm sure that that lady customer service rep in New Delhi India wrote all of your complaints down!

I should point out that I told DirecTV to NOT renew my NFL Sunday Ticket subscription this year, and I cited the court decision against Brady as the grounds for it. I told them that I believe the NFL is a damaged brand and that I have absolutely no interest in watching any games other than Patriots games from now on.

maybe this is all because I haven't signed up to contribute to this website......maybe I should....I just need to get my PayPal account unlocked
You really need to put your money where your mouth is and demonstrate a commitment to the fan base. The ask to become a supporter here is a bargain. On top of that Ian is a stand up guy who does this out of love for the team and the community. Don't be a slacker.

No, it isn't definitely fairweather. It's your (really stupid) definition of fairweather.

Not nearly as stupid as this merry band who learned to live angry

It's fair weather .... That's all it is

I figure with all the time I get back from Sunday games, RedZone (which I stopped watching last year after I cancelled my NFL channel in May), talk radio, etc. that I can pick up a new hobby.

I am going to learn to play accordion!
Warning - you might think they are playing Gangsta's Paradise.

I don't have to commit to any fan base....especially not the way these rats are talking to jump ship....Rick Pitino was right to call out the fellowship of the miserable......that's what a substantial portion of this bunch is....in the end, they will have wound up being happier if the Pats never won.

I'll get off the Schneid ... You'll see Supporter in my avatar soon enough....I'll cancel out one if these ship jumpers

um, no. i have been following the Pats for my entire life...why would i be done

Im a Pats fan since 1998 and i wont stop watching the pats because somebody is an idiot with too much power, i enjoy fifa world cups, uefa champions league, futbol, even if they are corrupt, its just an entertainment.
Of course, they wont receive a cent from me, buy cheap jerseys, follow the league with illegal streams instead of gamepass.
