It's easy, and only takes a few moments. It was Cuban, and it's not so much the nfl as goodell, when the league falters, and it will, all major sports expand and contract, goody will be at the forefront.I remember hearing someone, it might have been Mark Cuban, say something to the effect that the only thing that can bring down the NFL is the NFL. This whole ludicrous situation certainly feels like a step in that direction. While the other 30 teams, I don't include the Chiefs due to their unfair "tampering" punishment, might be in support of the Patriot's punishment, they have to be concerned that this court ruling might just confirm Goodell's authority to dish out capricious penalties any way he sees fit, and they could be next.
On a personal level the whole thing is just making me lose interest in the NFL. I've always looked forward to watching the draft, competed in a family fantasy football League and on and on, but not anymore. Sad really.
i think i would be better. I would exile goodell to a 3rd world country
I said the same thing today. Probably coincidence, but salt on the wound none-the-less.Funny how the ruling came out Monday before Draft. Or is it?

Are the pats comfortable with Jimmy G or would they look at another QB?
Well they'll need a backup for him but yeah he's the starter if Brady is out. He would have been last year and they're confidence in him hasn't changed. They will sign a vet to back him up, I'd love hoyer but you got to think he has better opportunity elsewhere with playing and money. Are the pats comfortable with Jimmy G or would they look at another QB?
Do you guys have a 3rd QB on the roster? Think they'd have to have a backup ready to roll just in case.
Having read the decision (with all its factual errors) and the dissent, I can honestly saw that many on this forum has a greater and deeper understanding of the facts than the two judges in the majority. It's a shame that they chose the superficial course which was evident from their questioning and the disjointedness of their decision.
from hammering the NFLPA and Brady for not arguing the facts and then telling us they can only rule on the process and not the facts...?? Well which is it??
Long ago a friend who regularly goes into court told me that judges decide who they want to win a case and make the law fit their decisions.....How else can you explain that even SCOTUS ( Supreme court of the US) has so few 9-0 decisions. Even those wise souls disagree with each other...and you can usually predict their rulings from their political leanings...
Usually, the law is whatever the judge says it is. . . . even if he gets it wrong. It shouldn't be like that, but it is.
We like to believe that the judiciary is comprised of wise, enlightened, learned legal scholars working steadfastly to get the law right and the facts straight so as to come up with a just and fair result. In reality, we get pinheaded political appointments like Chin and Parker . . .
I'm sorry I didn't read all of the pages, so this may have been suspended. But, this was the opinion that the author would have more readers than any other he wrote. It would be read by many laymen, who knew the facts backwards and forwards. Could they have at least made a little effort to get the facts right? The first paragraph (about the interception triggering the suspicion) was debunked within the first week. How does that come back up?
