Tom Brady suspended again

If Goodell was smart, he would take his victory and end this travesty. Goodell knows that nothing nefarious happened. He could come out today and announce that the random tests last year showed that their was no unnatural deflation and reverse the suspension if Brady agrees to not appeal the decision. Goodell has his court decision that basically says he can do whatever he wants regardless of the truth.

Of course he won't do it, and Brady will appeal, and eventually President Trump's Supreme Court pick will side with Brady.

how long would it take them to decide not to rehear it?? a month?

watching around the horn, bill plaschke ( la times ) " brady will always be remembered as a cheat " sad but true...the legacy is forever tarnished thanks to goodell and the 32 owners.

why did these judges go out of their way to rule on bermans other findings??? this **** was rigged

This is exactly the kind of talk that puts a lot of fire behind the idea that Tom will launch a defamation suit.

I really don't think he wants to subject himself to discovery but if this is the narrative then let's just say I think it's the NFL's best interest to tell their league media partners to cool the cheater cheater pumpkin eater talk.

as a bills fan this is complete HORSE sh*t....Sorry guys. keep your head up, I know it's tough in this instance.

Thanks, appreciate that rational and thoughtful take from opposing fans. And to return the favor - truly felt for you guys in the early 90s, sorry you couldn't even get one ring out of that group. And sorry that you're stuck with Rex now (although happy knowing this benefits us). Better times will be ahead for your team someday.

Nah screw the Bills

Paul Clement lies to them, they knew it and did nothing, and they repeatedly cited lies as though they were facts in their questioning and decision. That's lame sloppy **** and although I can't prove it I would be willing to bet that anti Patriots bias permeated their clerks. That they would be so shoddy worth big money and a great athletes reputation is disgraceful? And although it certainly lacks the gravity of the MAKING OF A MURDERER case to me the dishonesty and lack of integrity and ethics remind me of it completely. The American justice system is a caricature of what it was intended to be and that's a goddamn shame.

You have many other lawyers calling them sloppy.

I don't think Patriots fans should be accused of bias for calling them sloppy when you have Texans' fan lawyers, Saints' fan lawyers, hell the freakin' judge on the very court called out his colleagues for being sloppy! Why should we not?

And Munson chimes in with the predictable comments...lol

Thanks for the kind words...Saying it's been a tough run as a Bills fan would be an understatement. At times it feels like groundhog day....and for what it's worth I am not a fan of Rex Ryan the person, or Rex Ryan the coach. That being said, they better secure the top talent on their board that fits the front 7.

Back to the topic at hand, Goodell is a joke, clearly he's out to get Brady, which I can't seem to wrap my head around. Any sane NFL fan, when the blinders are removed knows this is a travesty and a witch hunt. If I'm Brady I'm not even pissed about the 4 games, but that the league is trying to tarnish my legacy....Side note, I had the chance to meet Brady, I was in a hotel room in Buffalo at a wedding and shared an elevator with him. Didn't really know what to say, was like good luck vs the Jets and Phins this year, he laughed and looked at my beer and said "I'm pretty jealous". Seemed like a good dude.

I guess this is just another notch in the example of how F'ed our justice system is.

I'm not aware of any NBA team in the last 20 years accused of cheating. Meanwhile you have a herd of fake scandals in the NFL in the last 10 years alone. Says more about the league offices than about the teams.

In March or April, a well known NBA player was found to be using stickum during a game. I believe he said he doing it for much of his career. I apologize for being fuzzy on the details, but this story had a 1 day shelf life and the NBA didn't make a huge deal out of it.

I feel like it was Dwight Howard? Vaguely remember that.

I was watching. That Plaschke just established himself as one of the grand king mother******s on the planet.

it bothered me to to be honest. a 6th round pick will forever be remembered by most people in this stupid country as a cheat.

Plaschke's always been a huge NE hater though so its not that surprising.

yea right i bet all of bills nation believes they finally have a shot at the division

jimmy G > tyrod. btw i've never seen jimmy play in meaningful games:D

This has been tiring, unbelievable, and absurd. I am saddened that something I just want to watch to entertain myself less than twenty times a year has come to this.........

Maybe... But you can't fault a fan base for hope. That's what makes us fans. TT is OK, but i'm afraid he won't last 16 again

Didn't they already rule on this? A baseball case, I think where the arbitrator had virtually all the facts in the case wrong and bungled it badly but the SCOTUS upheld it because of the powers of the arbitrator.
Yes and everyone here said it was irrelevant . except patsfan74

The World According to Munson:

Goodell's decision, in contrast to the decision made by the Garvey arbitrator, was brilliantly reasoned, meticulously detailed, and well written.
For fiction, maybe.............

Worse they admitted in footnote 1 that they ignored an amicus brief by McGuirk (?) who wanted to prevent a fraud upon the court because it was only an "academic interest". Really stating falsehoods and not allowing them to be corrected is an an "academic" matter...Glad to know the majority accepts fraud perpetrated on them....

We all knew that an arbitrator is allowed to make mistakes, to be sloppy, and even to be dead wrong, yet still his decision stands, if he followed proper procedures. The Garvey case settled all that.

How in the world anyone believes that Goodell followed proper procedures suggests bat$hit levels of craziness.

Proper procedures do not include lying, actively spreading those lies, covering up damaging truths, withholding the right to cross-examine witnesses, being fundamentally unfair, then even lying to the court, and on and on.
