When Brady Retires, are you done?

this "follow the team until Brady Belichick retire" thing is confounding. Can anyone explain the reasoning? It sounds fair-weather.

Makes no sense to me. I'm eager to find out how they fare without one or both. But at the rate they I going I probably won't be around.

I'm halfway out the door. I dropped baseball cold turkey years ago even though I was a serious Red Sox fan and the NFL is next. I want to see Bellichick and the Pats get one more but when BB is gone I'm done with pro sports.

Agreed, and when BB is done with the Pats I really hope he never coaches in the NFL* again.

The NFL* doesn't deserve a coach like BB.

I'd love to see him coach Navy or a team like that.

Once TB and BB are gone the Pats will be far less enjoyable to watch than they are now.

Are we EVER likely to see a HC/QB combo comparable to them in our lifetime?

We've seen the best, and we saw the best FAIRLY trounce the competion, but now the NFL* is putting out a watered-down product that you cannot be sure is even a real competition.

Those of you who say they will keep watching may change your minds when you see the post-TB/BB Patriots.

the pats were awesome to watch before they were good......of course its better to see them win, but it was still awesome

you have described a fair weather fan to a T

I don't agree but I must admit that when Grady left Pedro in my feelings for the Sox has never been the same.

I hope everyone in the NFL front office, every single owner, gets anal fissures tonight.

No, there is such a thing as competition.

It's the kind of thing we like about sports.

I watch Olympic wrestling.

I dont watch pro wrestling.

Most honest people here will recognize the distinction.

Sounds to me like you don't believe in sports, but instead in something fuzzy called entertainment. I have no interest in the latter.

It is entertainment........you are kidding yourself if you think its competition for you........I have competed at a pretty high level in individual sports....I know what competition is......watching NFL football is not competition unless I'm betting and even then it's not really

it is fair weather regardless of however else you want to paint it........completely fair weather.....and rather spineless at that

I like watching it because its entertainment and there nothing at stake.....

this place will be better when it shakes the likes of you out

you'd be gone anyway after a couple of down years
its not a fair weather fan situation. spare me your im a better fan judgement bullsh!t. your just the type that will take anything they dish out no matter what. i don't think its very entertaining when the league punishes a team and a player for absolutely nothing. you must like the wwf. maybe if you had a better life your standards wouldn't be so low. not that i have to justify my fandom to you. ive been a pats fan since i was 5 and im in my 50s. i can take losing years. what i can't take is a corrupt league that does whatever it wants to d0 regardless of evidence or any sense of fairness or sportsmanship. your just pissed off because you know im right.

LOL........then why are you watching now? why are you even here.....you should have already closed up shop

and why is it so important for you to convince me that you're not a fair weather fan....which you are

Bailing when Brady is gone, to me, is the definition of a bandwagon fan.

If you're out because of the corrupt NFL then you're out now, not because you want to watch the rest of Brady's run.

I have been a fan since the 80's and certainly wouldn't consider myself a bandwaggon fan if I decided to stop watching the NFL because it has turned into the WWE. I am also finding it difficult to support an owner who cares more about the "31" than the person who helped him build his empire.

NFL is entertainment. Bettis, Lewis, and Tea Bagger ring a bell? An absolute farce they all got rings in their final season.

This thread is awesome........the pouting is incredible

Well, I guess there will be a bunch of you disappearing within the next few years...maybe the Jets will become worth your time

Nope I enjoy college and high school sports. Cheaper and more ethical.

Absolutely. I am done now.

Not watching a single second of last year's Superbowl was one of the best things I ever did. Seriously. Life goes on.

Even if the team goes back to the Superbowl and wins it all so what? We're the kings of the most corrupt, disgusting bunch of loser franchises and their owners. Whoo.

Nope I enjoy college and high school sports.

on Sunday's?

whatever....don't watch, I don't really give a crap.....just like I don't give a crap what movies or TV shows you like

watch, don't watch ..... nobody cares

I am so very close to calling it a day even now. I did so back in the 94 strike shorted season in MLB and will have no trouble doing so again.
That's when I quit following baseball. They took the fans for granted and the NFL is doing the same.

No, and anyone who says they are done are total **** fans

not really **** fans.......just not fans anymore

won't matter....they'll disappear and it will go relatively unnoticed

but I'd be willing to bet most of them won't actually disappear......it's just heat of the moment crap

kind of like when the chicks steal the car from the guys in 'zombieland'

im not trying to convince you of anything. you are the one who is standing in judgement of everybody who has had enough of the league and the way its run. you think you are some kind of super fan lmao. i watch because i want to see brady and bb finish their careers. that's why. and trust me i won't enjoy it the way i used to. not even close. once they are gone i will cut the cord the same way i dumped espn and the nfl network. that's the only way to get there attention. you on the other hand will continue to watch no matter what and the nfl and rodger goodell thank you very much.

I'm not a super fan......I've just always been a fan....I've never not been a fan

Fair weather is just an adjective that describes a sometimes fan and the majority of the time it has to do with satisfaction or a lack of

it more likely that you're just full of **** and will continue to watch.....you're just angry now
