So sad. R.I.P Ron Brace.

Very sad. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I thought I saw somewhere that he was going to get into coaching.

So sad. His family must be heart broken. :(

RIP Ron Brace

What? I read that article several times and saw no implication of drug usage. Can you point out the specific quote that led you to put that out there?

They changed the article, and dropped the mention of drugs.

You just did.

Ok, what's a good word for 'the way that details are being omitted seems like what happens when someone commits suicide but I don't want to say something that could in any way contribute to making this worse for his family'?

From all accounts he was a nice guy, but maybe too nice a guy to play DT...

wow, gone too soon

That is too bad. Yes his NFL career never turned out like anyone hoped but it was not for lack of trying i think. No one i think claimed that and just cause your NFL career doesn't turn out well doesn't mean you are not a good person and your loss is any less important.

I hope for the best for his loved ones and i am sad to hear this news. Seemed like a class act.

I certainly hope not.. :/

I really don't want to speculate here either so if this is an inappropriate question at this time then it can wait. But was he known to have a concussion history here or while he was at BC?

I don't think it is inappropriate to say that with what we know about concussions and how they can affect people depending on the circumstances involving his death they should certainly be looked into.

RIP Ron Brace ...

Just awful, very sad to hear about his passing.

Interesting. They took it out of the article.

In the 4th paragraph it stated that it was an "apparant drug-related death."

I knew Ron in college. Great guy. Very sad to learn of his passing. I used to run sprints with him at the gym, despite weighing nearly twice as much as me he often beat me in a straight line.
