OT: ****dell denies Chiefs appeal (Clark Hunt betrays Chiefs fans, won't sue)

Perhaps a defamation suit is next.

It would be virtually impossible for him to win. He'd have to show actual lost revenue do to the direct actions of the NFL front office.

But the disclosure process during the trial would be incredible.

We have seen one released transcript which was from the Brady appeal and that proved that Goodell will lie and that the NFL had no idea of the IGL.

Can't imagine what juicy nuggets would be in the "independent" notebook.

Not necessarily. He could sue for defamation if he could prove he was subjected to public ridicule or derision - and that part would be easy to prove.

In somewhat twisted logic, Mike Florio say that the Chiefs losing this case shows that Kraft did the right thing in not appealing.

I disagree. It is ALWAYS better to stand up for the truth, even if it's destined to get you nowhere. Forever we will have to hear from the haters "but Kraft gave up on deflategate, so he admitted it"

the haters are petty

it would get tossed........provided the court would even choose to hear it

could kraft sue his own company?

"Oh, old Uncle Joker? Pay no attention to him" they'd say, "he's crazy".

Well he was only crazy until all of a sudden he wasn't.

Long before I came to Patsfans I was an AOLe and had spent much time arguing about the NYJ corruption of the NFL front office. I was pleasantly surprised when I came here and saw that @Joker was not only on the same path as I, but was miles ahead with facts and figures to back it up.

One of the things that also caught my eye came when I was an AOLe and was checking the Wikipedia page when Fraudell was first appointed. When I had first viewed it it read that Fraudger went from an intern with the Jets in the early 80's to the NFL front office.

When I went back to check a while later, as I was discussing him with some Jets fans, his Wiki page had been changed to what it reads now, that he started as an intern with the NFL, went to the Jets and then returned to the NFL. That seems like an odd career path and might be an attempt to lessen his role as a Jets employee.

Looking at Fraudell's other shady claims and his rulings against the Pats and in favor of the Jets, and Kensil's vendetta against Belichick, it's hard to deny that there's Jets involvement in the rulings that are made by the NYJFL.

All I can say is if Robert Kraft (and Clark Hunt and Dan Snyder and Jerry Jones and Tom Benson) still support Roger Goodell, they're schmucks and deserve whatever they get from this point forward,

I'll say that the result would have been the same if he appealed. And I think in his old age, he truly thought Goodell would go easy on Brady. That's not the case. It is what it is. The picks are gone. They're not coming back. Either root for your favorite football team or, if you're that upset by the decision not appeal, quit watching them....or at least stop complaining about it. That ship has long sailed.
I have rooted for the Pats since 1960 so I am not going stop rooting for them as you suggest. Apparently you and your cohorts cannot realize that the failure to stand up to a bully only invites additional bogus penalties. If Kraft had stood up to the POS in 2007,we would not be facing this punishment now.

Hunt took one for the 32, the Chiefs are being used here for the NFL to make a case that they are not going after the Pats.

Conspiracies are hard things to keep quiet. A leak to Vice or some other rag doing actual journalism about how the NFL was fixed would be the biggest story of this and several other decades. I'm guessing there would probably be criminal charges somehow too.

That's a lot to risk cause you like one team more than another.
You would think that, but see "Deflate Gate". Careers were certainly put on the line there, yet no one on the inside has blown that whistle. I do hope one does some day. It think we should set up a fan fund to convince BB to write a book after he retires ASAP.

Good. Better to care too much than be a spineless, trolling weasel.

another whining midget internet tough guy.....LOL

like *****ing about this give you a spine........it just makes you a b1tch

I doubt it, all this did was once again put the incompetence of Roger Goodell on full display for all to see, it certainly wasn't a good look for them as they sanctioned the Chefs far more harshly than they did the jets for a far less egregious act of tampering. They reinforced the belief that the Jets are coddled by the league office.

*Considering that the Jets only Super Bowl came from a player who the league rigged the draft to get to NY that's never been a surprise though.

When will fans get that these owners are NEVER going to sue?! It's just not in the best interest of anything except satisfying the damn fans, and when has an owner cared about that exclusive of how it will effect his murse. The "stern" letter from Kraft, for example, is probably as much as fans can realistically expect (fair or not).

It's a fair system. Judge,Jury and executioner. What's the big deal?

Hunt took one for the 32, the Chiefs are being used here for the NFL to make a case that they are not going after the Pats.

The Jets violated the tampering rules and received a fine that was half of what the Chiefs received and lost no draft picks, even though it was their second violation in a year.

Hunt appealed and lost double what the Jets lost for the same violation. They also lost 3rd and 6th round picks.

Kraft filed no appeal for a violation that never occurred and paid 10 times the fine as the Jets and 5 times the fine of the Chiefs. The Pats also lost 1st and 4th round picks. This came 9 years after they were fined an obscene amount for another non violation.
