Literally every single major Western religion actively converts and indoctrinates 'strange' or 'questionable' people so if you think that that is exclusive to Islam then you have some major issues. For every adult convert to Islam in America you have twenty born again Christians who have their "come to Jesus" moment and suddenly become die hard fundamentalists preaching about the evils of gay people and sex before marriage. And don't get me started on how the Church of Latter Day Saints shores up their ranks. Converts to a religion are always the more extreme segment of every religion, not just Islam.

In fact in my small amount of anecdotal experience converted Muslims are much politer and less preachy about how great they are and how bad I am than any converted Evangelical Christian who go full Fire and Brimstone.

Yeah, I hear that Islam is very gay-friendly.

Treating all Christians the way that you are accusing others of treating Muslims seems, a little, erm, inconsistent?

Have the Pats even had a player suspended because of pot? I cant recall.

Can you name 1 Steelers WR that left and failed to pick up the offense on his new team?

Didn't Ty Law get popped in his car one time? I don't think he got suspended though.

Winner winner. What did they do to the gays in Al-Raqqah? I think it involved a roof...

My mistake. I credited the Bills with 55 players instead of 44. I didn't use any draft site.

Using the accurate numbers;
Pats 144-47= 97 gone
Jets 110-43= 67 gone
Fins 121-45= 76 gone
Bills 132-44= 88 gone

Once again, considering how many more players that were drafted by the Pats, my point is still the same. The Pats biggest strength is not drafting players, it's that they were fortunate enough to make Tom Brady one of those 144 picks.

Each of the teams you cite kept about the same number of players, which is not all that surprising since everyone's roster is the same size. Drafting more players doesn't allow you to keep more but may give you more of an opportunity to find higher and keep players of higher quality.

What matters is the quality of the players you keep and how that translates into winning football games.

Disagree completely. The Bills have been drafting in the top ten of every round year in and out for almost twenty years, meanwhile the Patriots have consistently been at the bottom of every round for almost as long. That makes a huge difference and Belichick has had to manufacture value by creating more picks, which is why they have had more choices. The system is designed to bring bad teams up and good ones down and Belichick is the only GM in the league who hasn't taken victim to it.

I hope you didn't pay too much for that.

Damn, watching that clip of chandler jones with easley, what an enthusiastic patriot chandler was. Lost a good player.

Well, I think we can say for certain that they certainly lost an enthusiastic player but you can be enthusiastic from the sidelines and the tub too. :)

I'd be very interested to hear from those saying the Pats could have gotten picks for a guy who just cleared waivers . . .

Sh.t, I was hoping he would be claimed as it would have saved them some cap space. Interesting that no one wanted him.

I think that was before he cleared waivers, that is very surprising. As well as he played at times last year, I wouldn't be surprised if another shoe drops beyond simply him being a turd who gets injured.

I said my piece and have nothing more to add even though this morning I only feel firmer that I was right to say everything I did. That being said I won't continue that thread derail.

Like I said in the other thread there is something very wrong with Easley if no other team was willing to take him off waivers for essentially pennies. Even if he's a nut someone like Dallas has proven more than willing to ignore that if the player is talented. So it must be some combination of lingering injury and some big character concerns coming down the pike. I wouldn't be surprised if there's some dog fighting crap going on. But unless there's litigation we might never know.

Yeah, I'm shocked he cleared waivers, but that definitely clears up the question of whether they could have traded him or not. He must have quite the reputation in the league; if backups like Akiem Hicks garnered a mid-round pick, or a decade ago lazy fat mega-bust Jonathan Sullivan netted Bethel Johnson, you'd think a recent 1st rounder who's been highly effective even if in limited action would net something, anything.

This country has gone off the rails. It's gonna be a long Presidential campaign season.. this stuff is just echoing what some hateful politicians are saying. The moderation that's needed most is inside those who would here judge others, be it on religion or race or gender. Bigotry should be rooted out, but once it rears its ugly head it should be dragged into the open and confronted as what it is- evil itself.

@1960Pats, I understand you don't want anything non football related discussed, but what could you possibly disagree with about this non-specific to anyone post? Are you pro-bigotry? If you don't like political discussion go through and dislike each post in the thread that had mentioned it, on either side. Picking this one, the one that asks that people have clear minds and hearts? Bizarre. We are all on the same team in this world my man.

With that, I'm out of this one. I have my views, but we're all here for a common goal, to root for our favorite team.

Willie Andrews would have been suspended if the Pats hadn't cut him.. But it's been awhile..

Even with Urban Meyer gone there is just something wrong about Florida. I can't believe there hasn't been some massive piece of investigate journalism into his time at the school because I can't imagine all the seedy crap that was going on.
