Rams trade for the #1 pick!

This move is great on so many levels for the Titans. Even if one of Goff or Wentz turns into a great QB, they already have Mariota, who looks promising himself.

It's almost like they can't lose here, and they can build up their roster with a large bounty of picks that they just fleeced.

You better get your **** together Indy! Your division is catching up to you!

This could be the one of the best days in Titans history.

Interestingly enough, Jeff Fisher's previous job was with the Titans -- how long before we get a nutty conspiracy thread going?

Tennessee effectively moving down 14 slots in round 1.
And unbelievable ammunition to trade up a few slots if they feel the need.

Never change Fisher, you idiot. Looking like another 7-9 season, but this time it'll be a glitzy glamorous 7-9 season!
How do we know this is coming from Fischer? Maybe his ownership told him to get the first pick at any cost.

Indy has a drug-addled owner who is about to make Neck Beard the highest paid player in NFL history. I don't see how things turn out well for them.

Props to the former Patriot, he obviously learned from BB!

Think about this for a minute...

Its bad enough that most of the NFL will make two selections before the Patriots make their first.
But the Titans will make four selections before the Patriots even make one.

Jeff Fisher and that magical .500 doll always seem to stay in sync.

Could the Rams afford to trade down a few picks to get Goff. Recoup a 1st.
Would like to know the value in pts of the 2017 picks the Titans got.

It's actually a carbon-copy of the situation with the Rams and Redskins. Only differences are that Mariota is looking better at this point than Bradford did, and that Jeff "7-9" Fisher still hasn't been able to turn all that talent into a winning team. Interesting to see how this all plays out.

Also interesting to note that the Titans now have two picks in the 40s. We have our trade partner if there's a player that's falling that BB wants to trade up for (60 and 91 equate to 46/47 in the old trade value chart, the Titans got 43 and 45).

TITANS SUPER BOWL 2016

Sucks. Wish bob had fought to get those picks back

Keep making decisions like this and the Rams will be moving back to St Louis in a few years.

So the Rams essentially traded back the windfall they got from the Redskins for RGIII.

#15 = 1050
#43 = 470
#45 = 450
#76 = 210
Total = 2180
plus a first and third next year

for
#1 = 3000
#113 = 68
#177 = 20.6
Total = 3088.6

Therefore the first and third is valued at only 908.6

18th pick is valued at 900

If you take the worst valued third at 116, makes the 1st rounder 792.6
21st = 800

If you take the best valued third at 265, makes the 1st rounder 643.6
29th = 640
Draft Trade Chart | ProFootballTalk

From a trade chart point of view the Rams win IMO.

The beauty of this draft is that the strength of this draft is rounds 2-3. That fits right into the Titans wheelhouse with FIVE picks in that span.

(Also fits into our wheelhouse as well. Day two will be a fun day to watch.)

I love this trade for the Titans. Move down 13 spots and get a **** ton of high round picks this year and next year.

For the Rams your taking a huge risk. Maybe it works out. I hope it doesn't and this trade turns into a huge fail.

Although I am a draft fanatic and love what the Titans did, I can see this from the Rams point of view as well. The Titans needed to reshape their roster and they can with 11 top 100 picks over the next two years. The Rams very well could be a Quarterback away from contending for the playoffs.

Holy giving up on this years draft for that 1 QB....wow

Titans big winners from this one

This could end up costing Tunsil a lot of money, but all the draftniks can churn out yet another set of mock drafts.

One of the 2nd rounders they're giving up is the one they got from Philly for Sam Bradford.

HE DID NOT USE ALL CAPS THO

ALL CAPS IS ANGER
He did, however, use a first class stamp.

The Rams very well could be a Quarterback away from contending for the playoffs.
It's still a lottery pick, especially if they go with Wentz. Could be a swing and a miss. In any case it looks like this major roster reset could buy good old Jeff Fisher a few more years of excuses.

From a trade chart point of view the Rams win IMO.
Aren't you leaving out the 2017 1st and 3rd that the Titans are getting?

There is a sucker born every minute. And a large majority must be moving to L.A.

He did, however, use a first class stamp.
The price of which I hear there are proposals for taking it down .02 (for all the suckers who went all-in on "forever" stamps, FU LOL), so there's another waste of cap space. I hope it doesn't cost us in getting a Collins or Butler extension.
