RB Tyler Gaffney released

I guess they'll be drafting Keenan Reynolds as a RB then....

Well... there goes that idea. I know a lot of people were high on him.

Hope. The good news is that there are a whole slew of RB's in the draft that are better.

Yup.

It was one of those there-must-be-something-going-on-behind-the-scenes-if-they're-not-making-more-effort-to-sign-a-running-back theories. In BB I trust.

And, all across New England, the fan boys wept....

And all that internet furor over us signing him by Panthers fans ends up being even more meaningless than normal internet furor, if such a thing is possible.

Cue the Tyler Gaffney Patriots highlights video ......

Always remember the good times. Gaffney was a solid player.

We hardly got to know ya Tyler..........

Perhaps Brown passed a physical and Gaffney didn't.

So, for now, we have Lewis, Brown, Bolden, White and Develin.

I'm sure that some folks think that we can simply draft a RB in the 4th and 6th and dump a couple of these.

The Patriots are trimming some deadwood to make room for a few udfas.

I haven't been this disappointed since Shawn Crable was released.

Hope so. They could concentrate on offensive tackle in the draft.

I heard they worked out our boy Jonathan Williams recently.

What's BB's record for snatching players other teams are trying to sneak onto IR? 0 for 2? I'd fear going to IR early if I was a player for fear of being snatched by the patriots and having my career end.

If he's healthy, I would presume so.

On the other hand, perhaps Belichick has seen Brown and Blount, and has decided that Brown is our Blount for 2016. at least for now.
