Bruins 2015-2016

Neely & Sweeney won't be fired before Julien is fired.

the only way to clean up Chiarelli's mess is to shed a large amount of bloated contracts. then they can start making moves again. even if they did that. I don't trust neely Sweeney to do the job. the bruins have too many players that are nice and comfortable with their long term no trade contracts. it's become a country club from neely down to the players. they are all far too comfortable. blow it up.

2-0 Bruins ... almost 3 minutes in ... this team is like a yoyo.

i hate that they suk. they need help to get in. even with a win tonight. im so disappointed with that team. at least we got the celtics.

Bs need a W and help...Philly needs to lose to Pitt for us to get in because the rangers have already said they are pretty much benching everyone tomorrow..so DET will win

Well, the bad news is that...

"Key Rangers players like Mats Zuccarello, Ryan McDonagh, Viktor Stalberg and Dan Giardi all will sit for New York on Saturday. Additionally, backup goalie Antti Raanta will start in net with Henrik Lundqvist getting the day off."

Translation: don't expect help from the NYR. In fact, DET's job got a lot easier just not having to face Lunqvist.

Point. And Raanta will be in net, not Lundqvist.

What's rather odd about NYR not "playing to win" is the fact that they've slipped from 4th place to 7th; a loss of home ice advantage. FYI: the NYI and NYR both have 99 points, but NYI have 2 games at home left...one is against PHI. It's looking like the #7 seed will play FLA.

In retrospect, it shouldn't surprise that the NYI caught/passed them. They've been right in the hunt with a few games in hand for a while. And now, they have that extra game and at home. FYI: the NYI have an excellent record at home this year and are 7-3 in their last 10.

Has anyone else noticed that BOS has the worst record in their last 10 games than any other playoff contender right now? FYI: they're running at a 3-6-1 clip. o_O

Surprisingly, the LAK are next worst running at a 4-6 clip, but they are also the current #2 seed in the Western Conference. (Note to LAK: better start skating, boys, or you're going home in the first round.)

Last team you want to face in the east right now is Pitt..and if Rangers kept that #3 in metro..they would have faced Pitt...now they will play FLA..much much easier to move on

joke...joke joke...and watch cam will keep his job

Today, the B's won the first period of their last game of the season.

Let's chat about how well they played in that first period. o_O

a massive choke job to miss the playoffs 2 years in a row. absolutely pathetic. totally disgusted.

I was at the Revolution game ... glad I could not watch that choke fest ...
Beating a dead horse ... the right move was to sell at the trade deadline and hopefully they will be able to get comparable deals this off season by selling off.
Bring up Subban and get something for Rask and Krejci and Chara and Seidenberg .... those guys can help a good team get better. I am not blaming Sweeney or Neely ... I think Jacobs got in the way at the trade deadline this year. Complaining about Charelli is useless at this point ...

So..... Significant augmentation, or blow up and rebuild? That is the question.

You think it was bad this year..wait until they fire the wrong guy..claude..and replace him with a coach that is worse because there isn't a coach out there better than him at this moment..if there was a better coach i would say fine..time for change.

He was given a team with no D. We saw what they were capable of...(STL game...parts of CHI game ect) This isn't on him. He's the HC so he will be the one to take the fire..but it should be Cam...cam has to go. If this D stays similar to this year and they fire claude...don't count on playoffs again next year.

If cam stays i will lose my mind..and there is a good chance that twat stays

Claude's not the wrong guy to fire. The team is getting younger. Claude has a problem dealing with young players who are more offensive minded than defensive minded out of the chute, and that didn't change this year. He's also the coach who's teams have collapsed, or nearly collapsed, year after year after year. As a result of his way with the team's young defensemen, both Morrow and C. Miller will essentially have to repeat their rookie seasons next year. That's unacceptable.

In the meantime, Cam has had full power for less than one year, as has Sweeney, and they've just started fixing the mess left by Chiarelli. Saying that Neely should be the one to go, and not Claude, is crazy talk. If someone's got to go, Claude's the right one to be shown the door.

Just a follow up on the Claude issue:

I actually don't want him fired, but I understand why it's likely to happen. The team is moving in a different stylistic direction, and Julien clearly reverted back towards his usual style as the season wore on. When you do that, and lose, you generally get the axe.

On the other hand, Felger did his level best to get Julien fired last year, and he's at it again, so, even if I wanted Julien to get canned, a part of me would love for Julien to be retained just so he could tell Felger to kiss his ass.

Whosever idea that was to be buyers at this years deadline should lose their job. A monkey could see that wasn't going to work. Wanted to buy to make the playoffs and get experience for the young guys and guess what..nothing of the sort happened and they will lose Loui now for nothing because of it.

And we gave up a 3rd...a 3rd for Rinaldo. This front office is just WOW bad and changes better happen.

Yeah Claude will get fired..and Cam will keep his job and i won't like it one bit and would bet everything i own Claude will go to OTT. A team that will be getting better and with him can definitely leap the Bs

I just hate we are wasting Bergys and DKs prime years. I feel bad for those guys because they may not sniff the playoffs for another 1-2 years

It's too bad this forum is so dead, because the HF forums suck.
