Draft a power RB? Re-sign Blount? Get Foster?

I still think Tim Hightower could be a good signing. Wouldn't take a lot of money and he would have a realistic chance of earning some playing time. Can run block and catch.

Last 4 games of 2015:
85 carries 327 yards 4tds, 12 receptions 129 yards

something the kids are doing now, I know back in your day they had to send **** picks in the mail

Speak for yourself. I'm very proud of the fact that I still send **** pics in the mail.

I'm real popular with the neighbors. Or not.

I actually somehow missed the fact that he was even playing anymore.

I think that kind of signing would be fine for adding some competition for the summer, but I don't know if we have room on the roster for a guy like him. With the addition of Brown (more potential fodder) and the expected selection of a draft pick or two, I'm wondering if the positional depth chart isn't getting a bit too crowded?

Lewis
White/Brown
Bolden
Expected draft selection
Devlin

That's not even bringing up the possibility of a vet like Blount returning. Even if you assume that just ONE of White/Brown will make the team, that's still 5 right there without even bringing Blount back.

Tim Hightower was a revelation late in the year for New Orleans. He's definitely worth a look but will he be interested in joining a team where playing time isn't guaranteed for him, which isn't favorable for him assuming he's looking for a pay day eventually.

i had really figured that the Saints had resigned him already. I think i'd still prefer Bliunt just because we already know what he is

Hopefully they'll address it though the draft - would be great to see them draft an all purpose back or pure runner to compliment Dion. Blount can be resigned for a team-friendly deal but his play last season was uninspiring to say the least. Strange that his numbers don't look so bad on paper though.

The team may decide that adding a veteran and a late pick is enough for 2016.

1st round back: fa, Gaffney, Brown, 6th rounder
3rd down back: Lewis, White
STer - Bolden

Our first four picks COULD be among: OT, LB, WR and CB.

That's all because he's new to the position and runs upright still. Other than that, he's not like Jacobs.

In terms of build Henry is the one who looks like Jacobs, very different running styles though.

The Patriots still need a true first down back, even if they sign Blount. I will be shocked if they don't use one of their first 4 picks to fill that spot.

Easy to do since he didn't play in 2012, 2013, 2014 and most of 2015. He did have an ACL injury at one point.

I don't think Lewis is a sure thing health wise, either to be or to stay healthy. The RB situation is not the good kind of crowded.

That would currently leave Brown, White and Bolden (and Gaffney I suppose), obviously none of them should preclude the Pats from bringing in other backs. I do think they could possibly get some decent production from Brown though. If Brown's on the team and Lewis is healthy, I'm not sure White is making the final cut.

At this point, they'll be likely signing Blount and drafting a RB anyway, I would offer Hightower a million dollar contract with the chance to earn incentives through playing time, which he could potentially earn here more than other places. There's very little else left in FA (Foster, Hillman).

I was hoping that they would improve upon their running game this year, hopefully they hit on one in the draft, though they don't have the greatest history of drafting RBs.

I think they will draft one too in either the 2nd or 3rd round.

First four picks could be any position, but almost certainly will include a RB. I only see one, maybe two of Bolden, White, Gaffney but certainly not all three.

Lewis is unsure health wise.

Brown will likely make it but no sure thing.
Gaffney is very much a longshot at this point.
White may not be on the roster if Brown is.
Brown is probably better than Bolden as a RB, not sure Bolden makes it if as ST only.

Draft Pick (2nd-3rd round)
Lewis (If not ready, opens up the door for White, etc)
Brown
FA (Blount/Hightower/Foster)
FB or maybe they carry a fifth rb, with Bolden STs possibly giving him a leg up on White, Gaffney, Iosefa or any other lower round draft pick, UDFA or any other FA.

Plus itd be awesome having 2 hightower's

The team would be wrong then.
