Colts fan has nervous breakdown over Patriots trading for Bennett (Warning: Language)

That was very good. An excellent find!

Somebody should send this guy over the edge by telling him that Bennett will be even better when he's able to catch all those balls that Brady deflates before each game...that would be fun to watch!

My buddy, who is a Green Bay Packer fan, basically reacted the same way (with much fewer F bombs). He thinks Chicago deliberately traded him out of the division and into the other conference so the Packers wouldn't get their hands on him. According to him, the Packers are always picking off talent from within their division.

I still cant believe we got this guy for almost nothing...

The packers? The packers never sign free agents or make trades as far as i know. Saying the packers poach talent is like saying rex ryan is thoughtful and reserved. How can you be a packers fan and make such a ridiculous statement. Did they get forte, marshall, suh, fairley or any player from that division in 10 years?

I might be wrong but I've always thought of the Packers as mainly, though not exclusively, a "home grown" team...maybe your friend is just frustrated that it hasn't worked out like he hoped the last couple of years or hasn't gotten over the botched onside kick in Seattle. Bottom line is that Aaron Rodgers is going to have to deliver them another championship to live up to the hype.

He is probably more of a casual fan than he would like to admit - but that's what he said.

I'll ask him for some examples (EDIT: besides getting Julius Peppers from the Bears), but that's my impression of how the Packers build/manage their team as well. Maybe he was talking about JAG bottom-of-the-roster types/ special teamers, etc. Regardless, Bennett definitely doesn't fit that description.

He opened the conversation with, "The Patriots got themselves an awesome player that Packer fans all wanted their hands on..."

I'm obviously in the minority, but I thought that was pretty weak. I mean heck, the owner has routine meltdowns far worse than that (often drug-induced). Then again, maybe that's a pretty high (hahahah) expectation.

Yup.

Pretty much had the same reaction myself. Except I internalized it while staring blankly at nothing at all.

(It's my typical method of dealing with negative-jet/pro-pat news. I get a lot of practice at it. I hear it's good to just keep all negative feelings buried deep inside.)

Their tears are delicious.

It just seems a variation of this classic

P.S. I fell for the side link Goodell resigned. :D
