Are there any radio stations, that provide news and information about the pats, game analysis etc.?
I went to the Chiefs game in january and while waiting for a chance to leave the parking lot I discovered that radio station, where they were discussing the game. Now back in germany I'd like to have one of these stations in my internet radio playlist. So whats your favourite station, if any? Thanks!

98.5 CBS Sports Hub or 93.7 WEEI are the best bets, imo they are not currently as good as they once were, they seem to have become somewhat watered down and seeking controversy.. they are a better alternative to the bombastic doings of network TV..

During the week both stations provide a lot of Patriots insight.. Scott Zolak on 98.5 and Michael Holley on 93.7 are probably the most knowledgeable..

Some will disagree... but for ongoing Pats info imo they are the best..

PFW in Progress (Patriots Football Weekly) does a 2 hour podcast on Tue and Thu with 4 columnists. Pretty good listen:

WEEI | Boston Sports News - Red Sox, Patriots, Bruins, Celtics is another good one if you poke around there's Patriot news and commentary on virtually every show at various times. I like Dale and Holley with Thorton and the OMF shows and Planet Mikey is usually good for a couple laughs. Dennis and especially Callahan veer off into politics WAAAYYY to much for my liking.

Lastly theres 98.5 the sports hub where you can catch the insufferable musings of Felger and Maz at 1 hour clips, you just have to wade through all the Celtics, Red Sox and Bruin stuff this time of year to find there self loathing serenades of negativity. It can be OK sometimes.

WEEI (93.7) also has Christian Fauria on the midday slot which is opposite Zolak at 98.5.

I like Fauria's take, but he seems to get drowned out by Merloni and Ordway.. one mans premium is another's "dud suds"...

Merloni talking football is like fingernails on a chalkboard..

Yes, D, I agree. Correspondingly, Fauria talking baseball is like Lou on football, to me. Ordway on his current stint has begun to increasingly irritate me as he did near the end of his Big Show run. On the plus side, the Ordway/Smerlas combo is thankfully history. Dale and Holley with Thornton is my favorite, even though "the neutrals" (read "the contrarians") think it's Homer Central. Once again, just my take.

PFW in progress is the best overall look at the Patriots situation. Funniest by a landslide! Fred K, Paul Perillo, Erik Scalavino and Andy Hart are tremendously entertaining and as objective as you are likely to find anywhere! I rarely miss a show evah!!!

As others have already mentioned.

WEEI has a "Listen Live" link at the top of their homepage which I have used multiple times while traveling. You can listen to podcasts by clicking on the show tabs which brings up a menu of the shows and a list of the latest podcasts.

Dale and Holley show with Thornton is the one I listen to the most. Actually I really tune in to listen to Holley. Thornton is entertaining , Dale is a bearable sidekick (unlike the dreadful Sulky experiment) but it's Holley that provides the substance. They should just call it the Holley show. IMO

In the mornings you have Dennis and Callahan which is a mixture of current events/politics and sports. They do get Tom Brady on monday mornings after the game during the football season and usually go after Pat bashing columnists from around the country which can be entertaining. Decent show overall but can get a bit over the top with minirat's contrarian rhetoric at times.

For the love of all the children in the world and their futures, make sure you stay AWAY from the Patsfans game day thread.

That's a pretty good summary.....there is no question Holley is tops, I love Thornton and Arnold is decent. D&C are fair, the Brady Mon AM interview is a must, Fauria with Ordway is a decent show, but Zolak & Bertrand is head and shoulders above them. - That 98.5 10-2 spot is decent. Anything from the boys over at Patriots radio can offer some good Patriot porn.

So, for me, it's Toucher & Rich in the AM (except Mon AM during football season, then Zolak 10-2 with an immediate switch at 2:00 over to Holley, Dale & Thornton

Felger and Maz are the absolute worst, they are pathetic little radio trolls looking to pass off fans like me ( looks like they have succeeded) in the name of a ratings click. Good for them, their awful drive time show, to me, is all that is wrong with talk shows today - they laugh at fans, question the integrity of anybody and anything that might give them a ratings point. Somehow, they have the highest ratings around here and it just perplexes me.

Come one Joe Kerr. That's the best thread ever. Everyone one all tuned up and anxious.!!!. I kinda like the knee jerk, "guy screaming at the TV" in the local pub excitement. My wife and I are guilty of the screaming at the tv. I'm starting to tone it down a bit tho. But, damn I love.

98.5 and 93.7 both play online very easily. it's also worth finding podcasts and subscribing on iTunes

Are the filters working on this forum????

I remember when the game thread used to be a great companion piece to the game itself. I love the posts from some the last few years, example:

First offensive series of the game and a pass is incomplete: "Well this team sucks, see you all next season"

I do highly suggest "Kirsch Words" during the game OP. Just do a search for it on patriots.com

Fred will often give insight based on stuff he sees that get's missed on TV. I do enjoy those moments when the blog is about 5 seconds ahead of the TV.

SB 49 gameday thread. If you want to read some raw emotional posts and get a taste of what Joker is talking about then read it. It's a classic thread.

The Official Patriots vs Seahawks Super Bowl 49 Game thread

I just read the first few pages and the posts of the Seahawks fan was interesting. He or she predicted a 34-17 Seahawks victory, then a few posts later was worried about the Seattle defence getting pressure on Brady and the health of the Seattle secondary...

More like it starts with the coin flip result.

I like all the shows on Patriots.com, Patriots Playbook with John Rooke (in-stadium announcer for the team) and the Bob Socci Show (radio play-by-play announcer)....but maybe PFW a bit less once the offseason begins.

When the offseason gets into the dog days of summer, and even before then in mid-May or June, the show turns into one big fart joke (Is Erik gay, Andy has a big head, Paul is fat, etc.) with the occasional Patriots news. I get it that that's the charm but it gets annoying after a while. The other shows do a better job of focusing on the team and sometimes other teams in a straightforward, interesting way.
