Report: Colin Kaepernick met with John Elway on Thursday

lots of speculation of kapernick to denver.

so is kaepernick good any more? i know he has had a couple of good seasons but has been awful lately.

The 49ers better take Denver to the woodshed in a trade. No reason to just give away Kaepernick to them.

I still don't get why San Fran would want to trade Kapernick.

He is the ultimate Chip Kelly QB. Kelly even tried trading for him last offseason.

Now he's the coach there, has Kap as his QB and they're looking to dump him so Gabbert can be their stater in that offense?

He asked to be traded.

I think Kap is denver's best option right now. In fact I think he's the only chance they have of winning their division.

He is incredibly overrated. SF would be lucky to get a 3rd rounder for him.

Sanchez may very well be better than Kaepernick. And Sanchez should not be anyones starter.

Keep in mind that there's no way in hell Denver gets by again with a bad QB. Maybe 9-7, 10-6 best case scenario. KC or OAK should win the division and DEN would be fighting for a wildcard spot.

It took major injuries to a variety of teams and crazy circumstances just to help them get to the AFCCG and SuperBowl. You can bet that won't happen again.

This is smart by Denver. Kaepernick isn't great but you can win with him, especially with their defense.

I wonder if the rumour of the 49ers eating some of the contract will be true?

Guess the parameters of a deal are in place. Needs to restructure his contract apparently.

Remember that defense isn't the same anymore. They won't make the playoffs this year. Oakland and KC will pass them.

I hope donkeys have to give something for him. And not no 6th or 7th round pick

He's been crap for years, and trading him for even a bag of balls would open up a lot of cap space. I'm not sure what you consider to be giving Kaepernick away, and Schefter says that he's hearing it'd be for a mid-round pick
